2024 Masters Odds & Picks: Best Round 4 Futures Bets

Scottie Scheffler’s ability to battle against adversity was shown on the 13th hole during Round 3 at the Masters, sinking a 31-foot eagle putt to gain momentum for the duration of his round. After a double bogey and bogey to start the back-nine, it looked like the World No. 1 was in deep trouble. His resiliency and ball-striking ability rose to the top though, mounting a late comeback to jump Collin Morikawa for the outright lead heading into Sunday’s final round.

Morikawa is looking to add a green jacket with his first-ever win at Augusta National. The Californian has two major wins and six career wins on the PGA Tour, relying on his ball-striking prowess to finish with the second-lowest score in Round 3 at 3-under-par. Other notables near the top of the leaderboard include Max Homa, who is in solo third place at 5-under-par despite not making any birdies on Saturday, along with Ludvig Åberg in fourth place at 4-under-par. Bryson DeChambeau’s back-nine implosion was saved by holing out on the 18th hole, giving the LIV golfer some much-needed momentum heading into Round 4.

Scottie Scheffler (-115)

Scottie Scheffler has shown us why he’s the World No. 1 this week at Augusta National. Ranking first in strokes gained on approach has shown up on the biggest moments, but his eagle putt on the 13th following a stretch of 3-over-par to start the back-nine gave Scheffler the momentum needed to regain the outright lead heading into Sunday. With his wife in labor with their first child, there’s a bit more motivation to bring home the second green jacket of his career and a lucrative payday for good measure. As long as the ball-striking continues, Scheffler’s one-stroke lead is deserving of a two-unit wager at -115 odds.

Collin Morikawa (+350)

Two-time major winner, Collin Morikawa, has been on fire at Augusta National this week. The Californian has gone under par in all three rounds, including 3-under-par on Saturday, which was the second lowest score carded in Round 3. Morikawa’s stats and finishes have been far from ideal lately, but he’s also finished 5th and 10th at the Masters in 2022 and 2023. His irons are dialed, along with a strong putting display, plus he has what it takes to win majors as we’ve seen throughout his career. +350 odds is good value with Morikawa sitting one stroke behind Scheffler for the lead, so let’s stake a unit on him to win his first green jacket.

Ludvig Åberg (+900)

We haven’t seen a golfer making their debut at the Masters win outright since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979. This could change if Ludvig Åberg goes on a run on Sunday. Ranked 24th for Round 4 scoring average at 68.4, plus 26th in strokes gained: approach, the 24-year-old Swede could make history due to his strong ability to hit fairways off the tee and greens in regulation. +900 odds warrants a half unit wager for the rising star to mount a surge to the top of the leaderboard, as he’s currently alone in fourth-place at 4-under-par heading into Sunday.
