2024 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Top Parlays
It’s time for the first major of the 2024 PGA Tour season, and it’s time for The Masters at Augusta National. We’ll take a look at your best parlay for the weekend’s festivities.
I’ve never been a fan of betting a straight-up winner for golf tournaments, as there are just too many variables, and the field is so vast. We’ve seen a handful of long-shots routinely cashing this season, including Chris Kirk, Matthieu Pavon and Nick Taylor, who entered their respective tournaments with odds of 100-1 or greater. While we’ve seen more of a return to normal, with Scottie Scheffler ticking off victories at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and THE PLAYERS Championship, it’s still a crapshoot as to who will come out on top.
For gambling purposes, and for fantasy success, which tend to go hand in hand, it’s good to focus on a handful of key stats. Strokes gained: approach the green, strokes gained: off the tee, strokes gained: approach the green, strokes gained: around the green and strokes gained: putting should be areas of focus, but it isn’t a deal breaker if a golfer doesn’t have success in all of those categories. Sometimes you have to bank on past performance, recent tournament history and confidence, as well as going with a gut feeling sometimes.
Let’s review a couple of decent parlay opportunities for the first major of the season.

Top 40 finishers – Ludvig Aberg/Patrick Cantlay/Tony Finau/Justin Rose
Ludvig Aberg will be making his first appearance at Augusta National, and it is actually his first PGA Tour major appearance overall. So, there could be some butterflies, but also, ignorance is bliss. Not having been in the limelight at this particular magnitude, sometimes golfers new to the big tournaments perform well because they just don’t know any better. The 24-year-old Swede has been on fire, turning in a T14 finish last time out at the Valero Texas Open, and he was a solid 8th place at THE PLAYERS Championship, the unofficial fifth major. He also had a runner-up finish in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in early February in a stacked field, while posting a T9 at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
Patrick Cantlay is playing in his 8th Masters, and he has made the cut in four of the past five at Augusta National. He was T14 last season, and he has placed inside the Top 40 in each of his four events making the cut. Like Cantlay, Tony Finau is a veteran at The Masters, as he is playing in his 7th Masters. He has finished inside the Top 40 in each of his previous six events at Augusta National, including a T5 in 2019 while finishing 10th or better on three previous occasions.
Toss in Justin Rose, who has been around. This is his 19th Masters, and while he has missed the cut in two of his past five events at Augusta National, he also has finished 25th or better in 12 straight Masters when he has made the cut dating all the way back to 2009.
The biggest risk in this four-player parlay is Aberg. We just don’t have any history from him at Augusta National to touch upon, but he has been red-hot on the PGA Tour almost everywhere else, and the showing at THE PLAYERS Championship really gives us confidence this four-play block will come through. I have submitted this play for myself, now that North Carolina mobile sports betting is online. Let’s get it done!
Bet: Four-Player Top 40 Finisher Parlay – Ludvig Aberg/Patrick Cantlay/Tony Finau/Justin Rose (+260)
Top 20 finishers – Brooks Koepka/Jordan Spieth/Will Zalatoris
Unlike the parlay above, we are banking on a three-golfer parlay to get the job done. LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka has never won The Masters, but he has a pair of T2 finishes in 2019 and 2023, and he is a five-time major winner. The lights won’t be too bright for the former Florida State standout.
Jordan Spieth is a PGA Championship short of being a Grand Slam winner. He was fitted for a green jacket in 2015, and he also won the U.S. Open that season, too. He posted a win at The Open Championship in 2017, too.
That’s two big-time golfers with lengthy and successful resumes. The outlier here is Zalatoris, although he has finished 2nd and 6th in his only two previous finishes at Augusta National. The former Wake Forest Demon Deacon was humming along with three finishes of 13th or higher from late January to early March, including a runner-up finish at The Genesis Invitational, and a T4 at Bay Hill. However, with a missed cut at THE PLAYERS Championship, and a T74 at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, Zalatoris is the weak link in this three-golfer parlay.
