2024 Masters PrizePicks Predictions

We’re heading into the Masters Tournament at Augusta National, the first major of the 2024 PGA Tour season. We’ll take a look at a handful of plays at PrizePicks for Round 1 on Thursday, focusing on the Birdies or Better category, rather than the matchups.

Let’s take a look at some of the best picks for the Masters, and let’s make some money together!

2024 Masters PrizePicks Winners

Scottie Scheffler

Let’s start at the top. Scheffler leads the PGA Tour with 175 total birdies across 558 total holes through the Valero Texas Open. He has managed to finish 31.36% of his holes with a birdie or better, and he ranks No. 1 on Tour in Greens-In-Regulation Percentage, too (76.13%).

Scheffler is third on the Tour behind Patrick Cantlay (67.00) and Shane Lowry (67.23) in Round 1 Scoring Average at 67.50 in eight total rounds with 540 total strokes. Scheffler starts quickly, and he doesn’t dig himself into a hole early. He is a good play to rack up plenty of Birdies or Better in Round 1 at The Masters.

Bet: Scottie Scheffler 4.0 Birdies or Better – MORE

Patrick Cantlay

That brings us to Cantlay. We managed above, Scheffler is No. 3 on the PGA Tour in Round 1 Scoring Average. Cantlay is No. 1, posting a 67.00 Average with 469 total strokes across seven rounds.

The 32-year-old has managed just a single Top-10 finish this season, a T4 at The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club. This will be the eighth appearance at Augusta National Golf Club for Cantlay and he has finished 17th or higher in three of his past five events with one missed cut. In 24 rounds play at The Masters, he has finished 10 rounds under par. His has shot under par in Round 1 in three of his past four events at Augusta National.

He has rolled up 122 birdies across 27 total rounds, which ranks 19th on the PGA Tour (4.52 per round). He tends to start quickly in the opening round, and he is a good bet to go Over his target score of Birdies or Better.

Bet: Patrick Cantlay 3.5 Birdies or Better – MORE

Wyndham Clark

Clark is a debutant at The Masters, and some feel it could be a choppy start for the 30-year-old. He has been on fire this season, though, posting a win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, including a course-record 60 en route to the victory. He was also a runner-up at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and a T2 at The Players Championship. He has shot 72 or better in each of his eight first rounds this season.

He checks off a lot of the boxes for potential success in his first foray at Augusta National. He ranks third in strokes gained: total, 12th in strokes gained: off the tee, 33rd in strokes gained: approach the green and 15th in strokes gained: putting. More importantly for PrizePicks players, he ranks sixth on the PGA Tour with a 4.86 birdie average across 29 total rounds. However, Round 1 is his worst scoring average, by far, and it could be a rocky start. He managed just a 70.25 Round 1 Scoring Average, while posting a 67.00 in Round 2 to lead the PGA Tour, while posting a 68.29 in Round 3 and a 68.67 in Round 4.

As such, let’s go low on Clark’s Round 1 Birdies or Better target score.

Bet: Wyndam Clark 3.5 Birdies or Better – LESS
