2024 NCAA Tournament Same Game Parlay Picks

(Odds courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook)

#8 Utah State vs. #1 Purdue

  • Leg 1: Zach Edey Over 12.5 Rebounds (+100)
  • Leg 2: Lance Jones Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (+130)
  • Leg 3: Braden Smith Over 6.5 Assists (-127)

After an embarrassing exit in last year’s tournament, Purdue is on a mission. Zach Edey had a performance for the ages against Grambling State, scoring 30 points while hauling in 21 rebounds. We may get similar performances throughout the tournament.

While Utah State has one of the best perimeter defenses in the country, they haven’t had to worry about a big man like Zach Edey all season; defending Edey should be their primary focus heading into this matchup, which may open up some outside shots for the likes of Lance Jones and Braden Smith.

Lance Jones puts up a little more volume than Braden Smith, so taking a shot on his over with plus money is excellent value. Smith usually acts more as a facilitator, so taking the Over on his assists makes more sense to me.

Parlay Odds: (+525)

#9 Texas A&M vs. #1 Houston

  • Leg 1: Game Total Alt Line Over 129.5 (-199)
  • Leg 2: LJ Cryer Over 14.5 Points (-135)
  • Leg 3: LJ Cryer Over 2.5 3pt Field Goals (-143)
  • Leg 4: Wade Taylor IV Over 17.5 Points (-107)

I think we can see some points in this Round of 32 matchup. The game total opened up at 132 over at Caesars Sportsbook and has been creeping up over the last 24 hours and has settled at 134.5. When these two teams met earlier this year, Houston won 70-66.

When the Cougars’ offense is humming, it is usually led by LJ Cryer, and he led the team in points in the last round against a much inferior Longwood. Cryer finished with 17 points and was 3-of-7 behind the arc.

On the other side of the court, the Aggies will rely heavily on Taylor Wade IV. The Junior guard leads the Aggies in scoring, averaging 19 points per game. He also dropped 35 points on Houston in the previous meeting this season. I don’t know if Wade has another 30+ point game in him, but he will have to have another masterful game if he wants to carry his team to the Sweet 16.

Parlay Odds: (+390)
