2024 NCAA Women’s Tournament Player Props: Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, JuJu Watkins

To say that Monday night’s Elite 8 matchups are exciting is an understatement.

In a year where women’s basketball has exploded in interest, betting opportunities have followed right along. Monday’s marquee matchups offer many wagering opportunities to enhance the excitement and enjoyment for viewers, whether you have bet on women’s basketball before or not.

Here are my favorites from tonight’s slate.

Monday’s Best 2024 NCAA Women’s Elite Eight Prop Bets

Caitlin Clark Over 5.5 Threes (+110)

The first three games of the tournament have seen less of the “All-Time Leading Scorer” Clark and much more of the “By the Way, I Lead the Country in Assists, Too” Clark. Sure, she is still averaging 29.3 PPG, but she is also averaging 9.3 dimes per game. And that number is severely dragged down because of their second-round game against West Virginia, in which she only had three. Clark hasn’t hit more than five threes in her previous five games, but she hasn’t stopped shooting them, averaging 12.4 attempts per game. Iowa also hasn’t particularly needed them, either, winning their tournament games by an average of 19 points.

So why go after her 3PM instead of just hitting her assist line? Firstly, I’ll take a Caitlin Clark three-pointer prop at plus money every time. Secondly, LSU ranked 327th in the country in opposing three-pointers allowed during the season. But most importantly, the senior phenom shows up in big moments, and for the Hawkeyes to win, they will need a patented CC game, including all the logo threes she can muster. I’ll take the over.

Angel Reese Over 12.5 Rebounds (-115)

On the other side of the ball, Reese and her exceptional rebounding length could wreak havoc for the Hawkeyes. Iowa ranks 95th in the country in rebounds allowed to opponents, but LSU is fifth in both offensive and total rebounds. Reese averaged 13.2 rebounds during the regular season and nabbed 11 of them in Saturday’s game before fouling out against UCLA, a team much better at crashing glass than Iowa is. In fact, I think foul trouble is the biggest impediment to her getting 13 boards tonight. If Reese stays on the floor, I think she will coast past this number against the smaller post players from Iowa.

Paige Bueckers Over 3.5 Assists (-130) & Over 5.5 Rebounds (-110)

The points line here is at 26.5, and I like the over for that, too, but not as much as I like the assists. Bueckers has averaged 4.8 assists in the tournament so far, and USC ranks 290th in the country in assists allowed to opponents. I don’t think she’ll have any issues getting to four dimes tonight. Additionally, Bueckers has averaged 8.4 rebounds over her last three games, so if you’re looking for slightly better odds, this is a good play as well.

JuJu Watkins Under 27.5 Points (-105)

While I believe there is an excellent chance that Watkins could break Clark’s scoring record in the next three years, I’m not willing to bet against Geno Auriemma & Co. coming up with a defensive scheme to shut down her and her 27 PPG tonight. McKenzie Forbes is second on the team in scoring, averaging 14 PPG during the regular season, and I might feel more comfortable taking the over on her line at 14.5. I think the Huskies are going to offer the floor to anybody other than the freshman standout and say, “Go ahead and beat us. But she’s not going to.”
