2024 Paris Olympics Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (8/3)
It’s the second official weekend of Olympic action from Paris. We have a ton of events to wager on. We’ll peruse the usual, more popular sports, but also delve into a sport or two which you might not necessarily pay attention to. Let’s get crazy on Saturday and build that bankroll through the closing ceremonies next weekend.
Here are the three best bets for Saturday, Aug. 3 at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

(All bets are one unit unless otherwise specified)
Men’s Boxing: Four-Leg Parlay: +228
In Saturday’s action at Arena Paris Nord in Villepinte, the Men’s 57kg and 71kg quarter-finals take place. We’re streaking toward the gold medal in the weight class being awarded on Saturday, Aug. 10 at the iconic Roland Garros.
We have three rather heavy favorites to back on Saturday, while we pin our four-leg hopes on American Omari Jones. Jones will take on Bulgaria’s Rami Mofid Kiwan, who made quick work of Shannan Davey of Australia. Davey was the top seed. He had 51 victories in 68 bouts in the 71kg division, so it will be a tall order. The 21-year-old Jones, fighting out of Orlando, Fla., was equally impressive, though, stopping Chia Wei Kan of Taiwan, also by a 5-0 count.
In the first bout, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET, we’re backing Abdumalik Khalokov of Uzbekistan against Jose Quiles Brotons of Spain. Khalokov made quick work of Nebil Ibrahim, 5-0, in Wednesday’s 57kg preliminary match. The second schedule features Carlo Paalam of the Philippines, who easily topped Jude Gallagher of Ireland by a unanimous decision in his first bout.
In the 71kg division, Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev of Uzbekistan won his match against Omar Elawady of Egypt, also by unanimous decision. We’re banking on the three giant favorites to continue streaking toward gold, flipping a coin, having a little American pride and hoping Jones can get the job done against Kiwan, who ousted the top-seed Davey. It’s a tall order, but it could help us more than double up. You could also go with the 71kg two-leg parlay with Jones and Muydinkhujaev at +142. Full parlay card and individual odds:
- Abdumalik Khalokov – Uzbekistan (-950)
- Carlo Paalam – Philippines (-440)
- Omari Jones – United States (-110)
- Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev – Uzbekistan (-370)
Men’s Rowing: Men’s Eight Gold Medal Winner: Great Britain (+105)
In Men’s Eight Rowing on Saturday, starting at 5:10 a.m. ET, Great Britain is a slight favorite over the United States (+110).
The reigning Olympic champions, New Zealand, aren’t even in the mix, so we’ll have a brand new champion. Great Britain and Team USA are the favorites, with the Netherlands (+650) a distant third for the gold medal. Romania (+3100), Germany (+3700) and Australia (+5000) are also in the field, but not even expected on the podium.
Great Britain has only been beaten twice since the Tokyo games, falling in the final of the 2023 World Rowing Cup III by the Aussies, while getting topped at the 2024 World Rowing Cup II by Team USA in a preliminary race, although Great Britain edged the U.S. by 0.2 seconds at the World Rowing Cup II Final. The more experienced team is Great Britain, and that’s who we’re backing.
Men’s Volleyball: Poland Moneyline (-128) vs. Italy
Poland has been dominant in these Olympics, posting a 3-0 win in the preliminary round against Egypt last Saturday in the opening match. It eased by Brazil 3-2 in a hotly contested match on Wednesday. Italy topped Brazil 3-2 on Saturday while spanking Egypt 3-0 on Tuesday.
Poland is the top-ranked team in the world, but things always seem to go sideways for this nation when it reaches the quarter-finals, as they have crashed out of the past five Olympics in the quarter-finals round. We’re not quite there yet, so that’s good. Italy has managed six Olympic medals in men’s volleyball, so they’re a top team, too, although it has never secured gold. We have the World No. 1 vs. the World No. 3 in this European battle. Let’s back Poland but expect a 3-2 match.
