Monday’s Best Olympic Soccer Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Morocco (+255) vs. Spain (+120), DRAW (+215) | O/U 2.5 (+105/-130)

Monday's opener should be a great match as Morocco squares off against Spain. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET from Orange Vélodrome in Marseille, France.

Spain had a great showing against Japan in the quarter-finals, blanking them in a 3-0 match. Meanwhile, Morocco cruised to a 4-0 beatdown over the United States. Considering the way the Atlas Lions have looked, I'm going to take them +0.5 goals at -155 against La Roja.

Morocco has won its last two games, out-scoring their opponents 7-0. With the way their offense is firing, they should have enough scoring to hang around in this match. Furthermore, Morocco has conceded only three goals in four matches this tournament. They've won the possession battle in their last three games, so if they can accomplish that while playing quality defense, there's no reason that the Moroccans can't be competitive here.

Bet: Morocco +0.5 (-155)

France (-280) vs. Egypt (+800), DRAW (+400) | O/U 2.5 (-130/+105)

The hosts are looking to advance to the gold medal game after taking care of Argentina in a 1-0 victory on Friday. They'll square off against Egypt, who emerged over Paraguay in penalties in a 1-1 match (5-4). Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. ET from Groupama Stadium in Lyon, France.

I agree that France should be a favorite in this match, but I don't know about being as high as -280 on the Moneyline. In their defense, they've had a flawless defense, going 4-0-0 with four clean sheets. However, this Egypt team has gone completely under the radar in this tournament. We can get 1.5 goals with the African side at just -135. That's a price I'm willing to pay.

Egypt is unbeaten in this tournament, posting a 2-2-0 record through four matches. Going back even further, they haven't lost a match in their last 12 attempts across all competitions (7-5-0). Their defense has been fantastic, conceding only twice during this tournament. I think they can grind this match out and keep it close. Maybe France wins 1-0, but we'll still cash our bet if that's the case. Give me the 1.5 goals with Egypt.

Bet: Egypt +1.5 (-135)
