2024 Preakness Stakes Predictions: Catching Freedom

- Odds: 6-1
After a 4th place finish in the Kentucky Derby, Catching Freedom will look to build off the momentum after a two-week layoff. A closer, this horse should be in the mix down the stretch to the end. Plus, he’s coming off a career-best speed figure and has seen speed gains in each of his starts. While trainer Brad Cox doesn’t have a Preakness win under his belt, jockey Flavien Prat did win the 2021 Preakness aboard Rombauer.
If Catching Freedom can take another step forward, he’s got as good of a shot as any horse in this field.
