2024 Tour Championship Golf Odds & Picks: Round 3 Head-to-Head Bets

Round 3 from East Lake Golf Club is set to tee off on Saturday afternoon as we’re one day away from discovering which PGA Tour golfer will be crowned the 2024 FedExCup champion.

It looked like Scottie Scheffler would run away with the $25 million first-place payout but a few golfers in the field have been surging to close the gap. Collin Morikawa fired off an 8-under-par outing in Round 2 to jump into a solo second-place position, going 5-under-par or lower in both rounds thus far. Xander Schauffele also had a strong day in Round 2, going 7-under-par and finishing bogey-free to sit five back from Scheffler in a solo third.

In this Round 3 head-to-head article, we’re targeting 18-hole Matchbet and 2-ball matchup props. Each of these plays is worth a one-unit stake. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more free bets and betting analysis.

18 Hole Matchbet (Round 3) Russell Henley vs. Sam Burns

Russell Henley and Sam Burns are paired together in the 18 hole matchbet market for Round 3 on Saturday. Both golfers regressed in Round 2 but Burns made out better than Henley, finishing 3-under-par compared to even par for Henley.

Both of them possess good putting ability but I give the edge to Burns, who only recorded one bogey and four birdies in Round 2. Henley, conversely, had three bogeys on the front-nine and finished with three total birdies. Burns is sixth SG: approach and eighth SG: around the green, as well as 10th SG: off-the-tee, so let’s back him to beat Henley with a lower score in Round 3.

Pick: Sam Burns (-115)

2 Ball (Round 3) – Scottie Scheffler/Collin Morikawa

We’re targeting the final pairing and backing Collin Morikawa to stay red-hot and beat Scottie Scheffler’s Round 3 score on Saturday. Morikawa started off sluggish on the front-nine in Round 1 but hasn’t looked back since, making 15 birdies in his last 27 holes.

Only one bogey blemished Morikawa’s scorecard on Friday and he ranks second SG: off-the-tee, third SG: around the green, and third SG: putting. He’s found 22 of 28 fairways and 27 of 36 greens in regulation, which rank first and fourth respectively. Scheffler holds a four-stroke lead and has yet to break 6-under-par in either round, while ranking 18th SG: around-the-green. Let’s have fun with the plus odds and back Morikawa to beat Scheffler in Round 3.

Pick: Collin Morikawa (+125)
