2024 Tour Championship Golf Odds & Picks: Round 4 Head-to-Head Bets

The final round of golf at the Tour Championship is set to tee off from East Lake Golf Club on Sunday to crown the FedExCup winner to wrap up the 2024 PGA Tour season. Scottie Scheffler finished Saturday with four birdies on the final five holes to separate himself from the field once again, creating a five-stroke lead over Collin Morikawa.

While the top of the leaderboard looks like a two-man race, there’s plenty of drama unfolding in the field, as the other 29 golfers jockey for a higher finishing position for a big payday. 12th or higher receives at least $1.025 million, with 10th-place earning $1.75 million, sixth-place earning $3.5 million, and scaling up to $5 million, $6 million, $7.5 million, and $12.5 million for golfers who finish inside the top-five.

18 Hole Matchbet (Round 4) Viktor Hovland vs. Sam Burns

Viktor Hovland and Sam Burns are both 13th and 7th on the current leaderboard, with Hovland surging 12 spots up the leaderboard after his best round of 65 recorded on Saturday at East Lake. Conversely, Burns, who has yet to break 68 (-3) after being arguably the best golfer not to win at Castle Pines last weekend, is paired against Hovland in this 18 hole matchbet prop market.

Hovland sunk seven birdies and only had one bogey on his Round 3 scorecard. On the week, the Norwegian ranks 12th SG: approach and third SG: putting. Burns is first SG: approach but 19th SG: putting, a rarity for a golfer who tends to be elite with his flatstick. If Hovland can find greens in regulation like we saw him do on Saturday, he gains the edge over Burns.

I’m willing to stake a unit on Hovland to beat Burns with a lower score in Round 4. Hovland is in a more urgent position to qualify for a top-12 position to come away with a minimum of $1 million and he’s the reigning FedExCup champion, winning this event in 2023, so his confidence and experience should guide him to a win over Burns.

Pick: Viktor Hovland (-120)

2 Ball (Round 4) – Wyndham Clark/Adam Scott

For our 2 ball matchup, we’re targeting Wyndham Clark against Adam Scott. Clark is the favorite to win at -125 and he’s been strong all week on approach and putting on the Bermudagrass greens. Last year, Clark wound up in solo-third and he’s currently top-five on the leaderboard.

Scott has lost a stroke each round he’s played at East Lake this week, going 66-67-68. The Aussie ironically ranks first SG: putting, which tends to be his most volatile club. Scott ranks 24th SG: approach though, which isn’t good in a field of 30 golfers. His short game has kept the score good enough for T5 on the current leaderboard, however, I expect Clark’s irons and putter to outperform Scott on Sunday to cash this 2 ball matchup.
