The PGA Tour season comes to an end this week with the Tour Championship at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

It's the final event of the three-event FedEx Cup Playoffs. At stake: the honor of being the FedEx Cup champion and a whole lot of money. The winner of the Tour Championship receives $25 million and a five-year PGA Tour exemption. Second place is worth $12.5 million. Every player in the 30-man field will earn at least $550,000.

The Tour Championship uses a unique "starting strokes" system that rewards players based on the number of FedEx Cup points accumulated so far this season. No. 2 player Xander Schauffele starts at -8, No. 3 Hideki Matsuyama starts at -7, No. 4 Keegan Bradley starts at -6, and No. 5 Ludvig Aberg starts at -5. The rest of the field is sorted into groups of five, with groups starting at -4, -3, -2, -1 and even par.
