2025 Charles Schwab Challenge Odds, Picks & Predictions: Best PGA Bets

Colonial Country Club hosts the annual Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas this week. It’s the latest PGA Tour event and will feature Dallas native, Scottie Scheffler, seeking his third straight win.

The World No. 1 grabbed his first PGA Championship major title at Quail Hollow Club on Sunday after running away with a win at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson in nearby McKinney, Texas. Scheffler is a massive outright betting favorite at a short price of +250 odds.

Jordan Spieth and Daniel Berger are the next favorites all the way down at +2200 odds, followed by Tommy Fleetwood (+2500), Hideki Matsuyama (+2800), as well as Aaron Rai and Maverick McNealy  at +3000.

My PGA Championship Best PGA Bets went 0-3 at Quail Hollow Club last week. I was on the wrong favorite, backing Rory McIlroy instead of Scheffler due to course history. Xander Schauffele made a late run with a 68 on Sunday but came one stroke short of cashing a Top 20 Finish at even odds. Justin Thomas’ opening 73 didn’t allow him to get close to cashing a Top 20 Finish after Round 1.

Let’s gain some momentum this week at Colonial and sweep the board with three new Charles Schwab Challenge best bets. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more free bets and weekly PGA Tour analysis.

2025 Charles Schwab Challenge: Best Bets

Top 30 Finish

Harris English surged into a T2 finish after firing a closing round 65 on Sunday at the PGA Championship. He’s got a win under his belt at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines back in January.

Ranked 22nd SG: Putting, 29th total driving and 48th on par 4s. English has carded a Top 30 finish or better in five of his previous six events played. Missed the cut at Colonial in 2024 but went T12 in 2023.

Let’s bet a unit on English to keep playing well enough to grab his third straight top 30 finish at -105 odds at the Charles Schwab Challenge this week.

Pick: Harris English (-105)

Top 40 Finish

Alex Smalley has had an up-and-down campaign on the PGA Tour. He’s coming off of a decent stretch, going T39-T5-T28.

The 28-year-old American ranks sixth total strokes gained. He’s 16th SG: Off-the-Tee, 42nd SG: Putting, second in total driving, and 35th at finding greens in regulation. Sits 20th scrambling, 31st in sand save rate and sixth in scoring average.

Withdrew in 2024 after going +8 but did log a T40 finish at the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge. I’ll back Smalley to continue being effective tee-to-green at a challenging, short par 70 like Colonial.

One more unit can be placed on Smalley in the Top 40 Finish betting market on DraftKings Sportsbook at -105 odds.

Pick: Alex Smalley (-105)

Top 30 Finish

I’ll return to the Top 30 Finish market and grab a plus odds wager on Brian Harman. He’s already won in Texas this year and ranks 41st or better at finding greens in regulation, driving accuracy and proximity. These are traits that will position Harman for success at Colonial.

Harman’s previous finishes at the Charles Schwab Challenge go MC-T29-T24. He’s not going to have a lot of errant lies, avoiding miscues and dropping strokes. Enters Colonial with only one finish (T3) inside the top 30 in his last four events, which came at Harbour Town during the RBC Heritage.

Let’s wrap up with one more unit placed on Harman to record a top 30 finish at plus odds for the third straight appearance at Colonial.

Pick: Brian Harman (+120)
