2025 Charles Schwab Challenge Odds, Picks, & Predictions: Longshot Bets
The 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge is led by betting favorite, Scottie Scheffler, at +250 odds. Every other golfer in the field is at least +2200 or longer to win this event at Colonial Country Club this week, giving us a great opportunity to hit on a PGA Tour longshot winner.
It’s been tough sledding for my longshot bets on the PGA Tour in 2025. However, I’ve found two golfers I really like based on their skillset, course fit, and current form. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more free bets and weekly PGA Tour analysis.

Mackenzie Hughes (+7000)
Mackenzie Hughes has bounced between top 10 finishes and missed cuts since the Texas Children’s Houston Open in late March. The Canadian missed the cut at the PGA Championship last week.
Hughes logged a PT2 in a playoff loss at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic on May 11th. T3 at the RBC Heritage against a Signature Event field a month ago.
Hughes’ metrics don’t show how quickly he can climb a leaderboard. Hasn’t played at Colonial since a missed cut in 2021.
Let’s bet a quarter unit (0.25) on Hughes at +7000 to win for the third time on the PGA Tour, ending a three-year drought at Colonial this week.
Lucas Glover (+7000)
I’ve been bullish on Lucas Glover all season and he’s delivered in select events. The 45-year-old South Carolina native ranks 40th total strokes gained, including 32nd SG: Approach, sixth in driving accuracy, and fifth proximity.
Glover is also an improved putter. He ranks 37th in putting average and 42nd in putts per round, averaging 4.07 birdies which is 45th on the PGA Tour in 2025. Won twice on the PGA Tour in 2023, including the FedEx St. Jude Championship playoff event and has three outrights since 2021.
T8 and T12 finishes at the 2021 and 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge. Glover can be trusted with his tee-to-green efficiency, avoiding bad lies and converting birdie putts with relative consistency.
Let’s bet another 0.25 unit wager on Glover at the same 70-1 price we got on Hughes in the outright winner betting market on FanDuel Sportsbook.
