2025 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix Odds, Picks, & Predictions

The most picturesque race on the Formula 1 calendar takes place on Sunday, but don't let beauty fool you-Monte Carlo can be a ruthless beast. The Monaco Grand Prix is widely considered one of the most prestigious auto races in the world. Alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it completes the Triple Crown of Motorsport. With stakes this high, you need to be smart with your bets.

Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix Picks

Lando Norris snatched pole position from the clutches of fan favourite Charles Leclerc and set a new track record in the process. It was an emotional pole for Lando, who has struggled since Melbourne. Committing costly errors has caused his spot in the World Championship standings to slip.

After Leclerc initially dipped under his time during his final run in Saturday's qualifying, Norris was able to find one more gear and finish ahead by mere milliseconds. This year, the Monaco Grand Prix has introduced mandatory two-stops, adding more intrigue and strategy to a race known for its inability to overtake. It remains to be seen how this will impact the race, but that's why I'm excited about the possibility of either Lando Norris or teammate Oscar Piastri occupying the fastest lap.

Despite being the reigning and defending champion in his own backyard, Leclerc admitted after qualifying that they don't have the car to secure many victories this season. While I believe he can still give it a run for his money, the added stop should give the McLaren team more room to operate on the track and maintain distance from their competition. The main thing that can get you in trouble in Monte Carlo is track congestion, especially inside the tunnel or around the dangerous chicanes. With how well the cars are performing and their ability behind the wheel, the distance could be the difference.

I would not be shocked for this to be another pole-to-flag victory for Lando Norris, and you can get him outright if you’re feeling risky. One thing is for sure: this should be the most highly contested and interesting race in Monte Carlo in some time.

My favourite play in Monte Carlo is for the Papaya Orange of McLaren to win the fastest lap for -110.

Pick: Fastest Lap – McLaren (-110)
