2025 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Maverick McNealy

It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.

The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.

Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta? And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.

Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Maverick McNealy.

Course History

Maverick McNealy is another debutante at Augusta National, earning a trip thanks to a win in another Georgia tournament at The RSM Classic in late November at the Sea Island Resort.

Recent Form

McNealy had a little bit of a hiccup at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and THE PLAYERS Championship, sometimes called the unofficial fifth major. He rebounded nicely in the Lone Star State, posting a t-32nd finish at the Texas Children’s Houston Open and a t-3rd place finish at the Valero Texas Open in his Masters tune-up last time out at TPC San Antonio.

The former Stanford standout does a lot of things well, including good work with his putter. His weak spots are his Driving Accuracy Percentage (54.96%), as well as his Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green mark of -0.318, which ranks 158th on the PGA Tour.

Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions

McNealy has managed top-10 finishes in three of his past six events since early February. It’s all about getting to the weekend, as McNealy ranks 16th on the PGA Tour with a third-round scoring average of 68.75, and he ranks 51st in round four scoring average at 69.75.

If McNealy can make the cut, he could be a surprise name on the leaderboard on Moving Day into Sunday. If he can manage a top-20 finish, he can nearly triple up (+280) your initial wager. Even for a top-40 finish, he isn’t priced out of line (-140).
