2025 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sleepers to Win
Augusta National Golf Club will host the annual Masters Tournament this week, marking the first major of the season on the PGA Tour. This has been Scottie Scheffler’s event during two of the past three years, as the World’s No. 1 ranked golfer has won a green jacket in 2022 and 2024.
Jon Rahm won the Masters in 2023, while Hideki Matsuyama won in 2021. The winning scorecard has been between 10-under-par and 12-under-par, showcasing how difficult it can be to conquer Augusta National.
In this Masters betting preview, I’ve got a handful of golfers to target in the outright winner market. These players are flying under the radar or being undervalued by oddsmakers, which is why they are labeled “Sleepers” ahead of Round 1 teeing off from Augusta, Georgia on Thursday. Top Sleepers to Win 2025 Masters
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Viktor Hovland (+4000)
After missing three consecutive cuts from February through March, Viktor Hovland shocked us with an outright win at the Valspar Championship. This was his last outing and the Norwegian has undoubtedly been preparing for his return to Augusta National after missing the cut for the first time in his career last season.
At 40-1, Hovland is being mispriced. He recorded a T7 finish in 2023 at the Masters, shooting an opening round 65. Let’s sprinkle a quarter unit (0.25) wager on Hovland to win the Masters and don his first green jacket to get 10 units of profit.
Shane Lowry (+4500)
Shane Lowry has played well at Augusta National during his career. The Irishman struggled to get going here in 2024, carding a T43 finish and failing to break 73 in any round.
Prior to 2024, Lowry had gone T25-T21-T3-T16 at the Masters. He’s got three top-10 finishes in 2025 and ranks fifth in total strokes gained. Lowry is sixth SG: Approach, fifth in proximity, eighth in scrambling, and 45th in driving accuracy.
This is enough to justify another 0.25 unit wager placed on Lowry to win the Masters at 45-1 odds.
Jason Day (+7500)
We’ve watched Jason Day perform very well in the Masters since debuting in 2011. The Aussie golfer debuted with a T2 in 2011, followed by a missed cut, then a third-place finish in 2013. His most recent top-5 finish came in 2019, shooting 67 on Friday and Sunday.
Day has 13 career wins on the PGA Tour and a pair of top-10 finishes this season. Since his T5 finish at Augusta National six years ago, he’s missed two cuts, while turning in a T39 finish in 2023 and a T30 finish in 2024.
Ranked sixth in putting average, the flat stick could allow Day to navigate the Bentgrass undulations and build an early lead at Augusta National this week. He’s 39th in birdie average, 26th in scoring average, and 34th on par 4s. His irons are solid but the driver has been a sore spot in 2025, so we’ll see how Day manages to overcome his tee box mishaps.
At 75-1, a 0.10 unit sprinkle nets 7.5 units of profit on Day to win the Masters. Talk about a small risk, high reward scenario. Don’t overthink this and let’s ride Day to a potential payday.
Lucas Glover (+13000)
Lucas Glover is among the most accurate ball-strikers on the PGA Tour in 2025. The 44-year-old American has also improved his putting quite a bit, ranked 10th in putting average and 17th in putts per round.
Augusta National hasn’t been dominated by Glover since debuting in 2006, however, he’s coming off of his best finish at T20 in 2024. Glover ranks 18th in total strokes gained, including 26th SG: Approach, third in driving accuracy, fourth in proximity, and 28th in scoring average.
If Glover gets hot during Thursday, Friday, or Saturday if he makes the cut, watch out for him to climb and stay atop the leaderboard. At 130-1, let’s place another 0.10 unit wager to get 13 units of profit if the veteran runs the gauntlet and winds up winning his first green jacket.
