2025 PGA Championship Odds, Picks & Predictions: Corey Conners

Rory McIlroy's thrilling victory at The Masters last month set up some compelling storylines for the second major of the season, the 2025 PGA Championship, which will be played this week at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina.

McIlroy completed the career grand slam with his win at Augusta. If he wins again this week, he'll be halfway to a true grand slam. McIlroy has fared well at Quail Hollow throughout his career, having won four tournaments there. It's a course that favors big hitters — right up McIlroy's alley.

But McIlroy isn't even the favorite this week. That would be Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 player in the world. Scheffler cruised to an eight-shot victory at his most recent event, the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.

Will golf fans be treated to a duel between McIlroy and Scheffler? Or will other top players intervene? Defending PGA champ Xander Schauffele is certainly capable of repeating. Justin Thomas and Ludvig Aberg have been hot lately. LIV Tour star Bryson DeChambeau has been frisky in recent majors, and other LIV players — Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Tyrrell Hatton and others — could contend.

Course History

This will be the seventh PGA Championship for Corey Connors. The results, although mixed, have shown that the 33-year-old can make his presence felt in this tournament. The highest Connors has finished was in 2023, where he ended the weekend in 12th place. Conners has finished no worse than 26th in the previous two PGA Championships.

Recent Form

Connors has played a ton of golf this year to date, performing in 13 tournaments since the start of 2025. He has only missed one cut over that span, while finishing in the top 10 in six contests, with two top-five results. The veteran Canadian has played in five contests since the beginning of April. In his last outing, Connors finished T-6 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

Betting Outlook: 2025 PGA Championship Predictions

Connors is currently listed at 60/1 odds to win his first PGA Championship. While we believe that is certainly in the realm of possibility, given the copious number of appearances over the year, that may be a little presumptuous.

Taking the odds at +1000 for a top-five finish is certainly intriguing. However, taking a quarter of a unit wage on a top-10 result at +450 seems like a logical approach to this option. Connors has finished in the top 10 in six out of 13 contests in 2025.
