2025 PGA Championship Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sleepers to Win

Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy headline the betting favorites at the 2025 PGA Championship major this week. 156 golfers will tee it up from Quail Hollow Club, a par 71 course running over 7,600 yards in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Justin Thomas won the 2017 PGA Championship here and added another Wanamaker Trophy to his hardware collection at the 2022 PGA Championship. McIlroy has won four times at Quail Hollow Club, including at the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship last year. Scheffler has only played this course during the 2022 Presidents Cup, so he’ll be flying solo here for the first time on the PGA Tour.

I’ve found four golfers who are being undervalued to win the 2025 PGA Championship at their current price. These are sleepers who have the skillset and current form to contend for the Wanamaker Trophy this week at Quail Hollow Club.

Top Sleepers to Win 2025 PGA Championship

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Ludvig Åberg (+2800)

It might be a bit of a stretch to label Ludvig Åberg a “sleeper” at 28-1 odds this week. The 25-year-old Swede is the eighth betting favorite to win the 2025 PGA Championship, which would be his third PGA Tour win and first at a major.

We saw Åberg deliver clutch drives, approach shots and putts at The Genesis Invitational to mount a late comeback for his lone win this season. It came at Torrey Pines, which is a similar lengthy track that rewards bombers off-the-tee.

Åberg ranks 27th in driving distance and 10th SG: Off-the-Tee. He’s also 21st proximity and sixth on approach shots from 200+ yards, while finding greens in regulation and putting remain the biggest issue.

I’ll bet half a unit (0.50) on Åberg to win the 2025 PGA Championship at 28-1, despite making his debut at Quail Hollow Club.

Tommy Fleetwood (+4500)

Tommy Fleetwood is well-known for doing everything except winning on the PGA Tour. The Englishman is rounding into form right now, stringing together consecutive top 10 finishes in elevated events at the RBC Heritage and Truist Championship.

Ranked 10th total strokes gained, which includes 13th SG: Approach and ninth in putting average. Fleetwood is playing well tee-to-green. Yes, he doesn’t have the same power off-the-tee as other golfers in this field, but Fleetwood compensates with accuracy tee-to-green and a strong short game.

Fleetwood has logged three top 15 finishes at this course across his last three Wells Fargo Championship events. Let’s bet a quarter unit (0.25) on Fleetwood to win at 45-1. He can exorcise his demons and end his PGA Tour win drought with a major title at the 2025 PGA Championship this week.

Min Woo Lee (+9000)

Shockingly, we’re getting into the longshot range at 90-1 with Min Woo Lee. The Aussie golfer carded his first PGA Tour win just over a month ago at the Houston Open.

Lee is becoming a popular golfer in the outright market this week due to ranking fourth in driving distance and 11th SG: Putting. These two metrics will go a long way toward helping him climb the leaderboard to contend against the field at this major.

Lee struggles with his irons, ranked 151st SG: Approach. He’s also 156th in driving accuracy, which explains why he’s still available to bet in outright markets at 90-1 odds.

There’s enough here to warrant a 0.10 unit sprinkle to get nine units of profit in return if Lee pulls off an upset at Quail Hollow Club.

Wyndham Clark (+9000)

Wyndham Clark won at Quail Hollow Club during the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship. He’s not been in peak form in 2025, coming off of a T63 finish at the Truist Championship on Sunday.

Clark’s strengths are putting and driving distance. He’s ranked 18th in driving distance (311.0) and 41st in putting average on the PGA Tour this year. Sits 19th in birdie average (4.33) and 43rd on par 4s.

Irons remain the biggest hurdle for Clark to get back into contention at events. He’s ranked 129th SG: Approach and 98th scrambling. The driver is powerful but inaccurate, meaning we’ll likely see Clark laying up or trying to get around trees that line the Quail Hollow Club’s fairways.

I’ll gladly back a former winner at this course for 90-1 odds. Clark carded a pedestrian T46 finish at The Masters during the first major, while his best finish came with a T5 at the Houston Open in late March.

Let’s sprinkle one more 0.10 unit wager on Clark to win his second major to get nine units of profit in return with this small investment ahead of Round 1 at the 2025 PGA Championship.
