2025 PGA Championship Odds, Picks & Predictions: Taylor Pendrith
Rory McIlroy's thrilling victory at The Masters last month set up some compelling storylines for the second major of the season, the 2025 PGA Championship, which will be played this week at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina.
McIlroy completed the career grand slam with his win at Augusta. If he wins again this week, he'll be halfway to a true grand slam. McIlroy has fared well at Quail Hollow throughout his career, having won four tournaments there. It's a course that favors big hitters — right up McIlroy's alley.
But McIlroy isn't even the favorite this week. That would be Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 player in the world. Scheffler cruised to an eight-shot victory at his most recent event, the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
Will golf fans be treated to a duel between McIlroy and Scheffler? Or will other top players intervene? Defending PGA champ Xander Schauffele is certainly capable of repeating. Justin Thomas and Ludvig Aberg have been hot lately. LIV Tour star Bryson DeChambeau has been frisky in recent majors, and other LIV players — Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Tyrrell Hatton and others — could contend.

Course History
Taylor Pendrith's history at Quail Hollow isn't a long list, as he's only played the course twice in his career. He missed the cut at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship, which is hosted by Quail Hollow annually, while following it up with a 10th-place outing last season.
Recent Form
The 2025 campaign has been hit-or-miss for the Canadian, as he's either finished 13th or better, or outside of the top 35 in 13 events played. Pendrith's best performance was a fifth-place finish at the Houston Open in late March. However, he followed that up with a pair of missed cuts and 42nd-place and 65th-place outings en route to this weekend's Major.
Betting Outlook: 2025 PGA Championship Predictions
Considering that Taylor Pendrith hasn't placed inside of the top 20 in four straight events, I really have no interest in staking my hard-earned dollars on him this weekend. Sometimes the best bet is to make no bet at all, and that's how I'm looking at Pendrith this weekend.
