Rory McIlroy's thrilling victory at The Masters last month set up some compelling storylines for the second major of the season, the 2025 PGA Championship, which will be played this week at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina.

McIlroy completed the career grand slam with his win at Augusta. If he wins again this week, he'll be halfway to a true grand slam. McIlroy has fared well at Quail Hollow throughout his career, having won four tournaments there. It's a course that favors big hitters — right up McIlroy's alley.

Tyrrell Hatton had his best outing at Quail Hollow during his most recent appearance at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship. The Englishman carded a solo third-place finish at 12-under-par.

Hatton has a pair of top-20 finishes in two of his last three PGA Championship appearances, but is coming off a T-63 at Valhalla in 2024.

Recent Form

Hatton logged a T-14 finish at The Masters during his debut on the 2025 PGA Tour at the first major of the year. He and Legion XIII have gone T-5 and T-13 in their last two events on the LIV Golf league.
