2025 Rocket Classic Picks & Predictions: Best PGA Bets
Detroit Golf Club hosts the 2025 Rocket Classic for this week’s PGA Tour event. It’s a par 72 that runs 7,370 yards and is historically a course that cedes extremely low scorecards.
Without Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy in this field, Collin Morikawa has become the current betting favorite at +1200 odds. Behind Morikawa in the outright winner betting market are Patrick Cantlay at +1600, Keegan Bradley at +1800, Ben Griffin at +2200, and Cameron Young at +2800 odds. None of them have won any edition of the Rocket Classic since debuting in 2019.
Last week’s 2025 Travelers Championship Best PGA Bets settled 2-1, making it a profitable outing at TPC River Highlands. Keegan Bradley easily cashed his Top 20 Finish prop at +125 odds, winning the event with a late comeback against Tommy Fleetwood. The other winner came on Andrew Novak’s Top 30 Finish prop at +125 odds, coming through with a clutch 66 on Sunday to wind up T30. Sepp Straka’s disappointing 74-71 across the first two rounds kept the Austrian from delivering a Top 10 Finish at +280 odds.
I’m here with three more best bets to tail ahead of Round 1 at the 2025 Rocket Classic. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more free bets and PGA Tour analysis.

Top 10 Finish
Cameron Young couldn’t keep his Round 1 momentum going at the Travelers Championship. He’s still riding good form into an event he’s dominated in both previous appearances.
The power hitter has a pair of top 10 finishes at the Rocket Classic since 2022, including a runner-up finish and a T6 finish in 2024. Young currently has four top 10 finishes in 2025, most recently in back-to-back events at the RBC Canadian Open (T4) and U.S. Open (T4) earlier this month.
Ranks ninth SG: Putting, 17th driving distance and 13th putting average. Irons are inconsistent but his blend of power off-the-tee and finesse with his putter have led to Young averaging over four birdies per round this season, ranked 29th on the PGA Tour.
Bet on Cameron Young to show up and make an early run up the leaderboard. A third straight top 10 finish at the Rocket Classic is a likely outcome, especially based on current form, so let’s back Young to post a top 10 finish at +260 odds.
Pick: Cameron Young (+260)
Top 30 Finish
It’s been a tough stretch for Akshay Bhatia on the PGA Tour. The 23-year-old native of Los Angeles missed the cut at the U.S. Open before a forgettable T54 finish at +2 during the Travelers Championship this past weekend.
Bhatia returns to Detroit Golf Club, where he’ll look to exorcise demons from his runner-up finish in 2024. He three-putted on the 72nd hole, handing Cam Davis his second win at this event following a missed par putt from four feet away.
There’s plenty to like about Bhatia statistically. He’s ranked 24th SG: Approach, 15th SG: Putting and 28th hole proximity. Also top 30 for approach shots from 200+ yards. 13th putting average and 14th in birdie average (4.18) per round is even more encouraging.
It’s hard to envision Bhatia failing to record a top 30 finish at a course he navigated with ease last season. Sure, he’s riding a bit of a slump, but Bhatia did log a T16 finish at the difficult Muirfield Village during the Memorial Tournament to start the month of June.
Let’s bet on Bhatia to bounce back after TPC River Highlands and target him in the Top 30 Finish prop betting market at plus odds.
Pick: Akshay Bhatia (+125)
Top 30 Finish
I’ll wrap up with another golfer in the Top 30 Finish prop betting market and back Victor Perez at plus odds. The French golfer is flying under the radar ahead of his debut at Detroit Golf Club.
Perez ranks 43rd total strokes gained in 2025. Notably, he’s 24th SG: Approach, 15th total driving, including top 30 for driving accuracy, and eighth for greens in regulation hit at 70.1 percent. Putting is a major weakness, ranked 154th in putting average and 165th in putts per round.
Perez is 30th scoring average, 31st on par 4s and coming off of a pair of top 20 finishes at the RBC Canadian Open and U.S. Open. He’s rested after taking last week off. Expect Perez to flex his tee-to-green accuracy at a relatively friendly course to post a third straight top 30 finish at +170 odds.
Pick: Victor Perez (+170)
