Not only has Dustin Johnson won the U.S. Open once before in his career, but he is the defending champ of the major the last time it was held at Oakmont Country Club back in 2016. While that might give bettors some incentive to back him, especially with some extremely long odds, it’s been nine years since that title, and Johnson has changed quite a bit since that memorable moment.

Recent Form

Johnson hasn’t been terrible in 2025 LIV tournaments this season, but he hasn’t been dominant, either. He has three top-10 finishes in the past five outings, though, and he has been rounding into form a bit. He was T-10 last weekend at LIV Golf Virginia at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.
