Course History

The U.S. Open will not be the first time Ludvig Aberg has played at Oakmont. He played there in 2021 for the U.S. Amateurs. His first day was not great as he shot a 77, but he bounced back on the second with a 71. But it was too little, too late, as he did not make the cut.

Having just turned pro in 2023, Adberg does not have much experience at the majors. This will be his second U.S. Open; he finished tied for 12th in 2024.

Recent Form

It has been a busy season for Aberg, who is the No. 8 golfer in the world rankings. He has played in 13 tournaments, made the cut in 10, finished inside the top 25 in six and inside the top 10 in three.

Adberg has one win this season - at the Genesis Invitational. Aberg finished seventh at the Masters and failed to make the cut at the PGA Championship. In his last two tournaments, he finished T-16 (Memorial Tournament) and T-13 (Canadian Open).

He has certainly proven already that the moment will not be too big for him. But can he win? I'd certainly consider him a solid dark horse (+3500). He's certainly worth taking a flier on to finish in the top five (+550) and/or in the top 10 (+280).
