Rory McIlroy has never won the U.S. Open, but he is getting much closer. He has a runner-up finish in his past two U.S. Open events, losing by just a single stroke to LIV rival Bryson DeChambeau at Pinehurst No. 2 last season.

McIlroy has just come up short in the past two years. Now that he secured the green jacket at the Masters, completing the grand slam, perhaps McIlroy gets back to playing a little more free and easy.
