Sam Burns' first-ever major competition was the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club. However, it wasn't a great outing, as he missed the cut, posting a +9 score (74-75) over the opening rounds. In six U.S. Opens, Burns has only finished inside the top 25 once, when he logged a ninth-place finish at Pinehurst last year.

Recent Form

Burns comes into this weekend's U.S. Open on the heels of his best effort of 2025, a second-place finish at last weekend's RBC Canadian Open. He lost the event to Ryan Fox after the duo played four extra holes in a playoff. This is building on a string of recent success, where the American has five top-20 outings in his last six events.

I'll make a +450 sprinkle (via DraftKings Sportsbook) to say Burns finishes 10th or better at Oakmont this weekend.
