Don't let Tommy Fleetwood's English descent fool you, his best major performances have come in the U.S. Open. The 34-year-old has logged top-five finishes in the event three times (2017, 2018, 2023) in nine tries. However, this will be his debut at Oakmont Country Club, since he didn't participate when the tournament was held at the venue in 2016.

Recent Form

Fleetwood has been excellent this year, hence his 13th-ranked position in the World Golf Ranking. In 12 events, the Englishman has three top-five finishes and an additional top-10 outing. He last competed at the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield two weeks ago, securing a 16th-place finish.

Fleetwood only has one outright win over the last three seasons, so I'm not interested in a +3500 ticket for him to win the U.S. Open this weekend. However, his overall form is too good not to back him in some capacity.

Fleetwood has four top-20 finishes in his last five events, so I'm locking in a +100 bet (via DraftKings Sportsbook) to say that he accomplishes this again. Give me Fleetwood to finish 20th or better.
