Recent Form

The year began with a bang for Gotterup, who won the Sony Open in January and the Phoenix Open in February. After failing to make noise in two California events and two Florida events, Gotterup finished sixth at the Houston Open. The 26-year-old Gotterup is a big hitter who ranks fifth in driving distance and ninth in clubhead speed. He ranks seventh in strokes gained tee to green.

2026 Masters Outlook & Predictions

With power off the tee and a deft touch around the green, Gotterup has the game to make noise at Augusta. But we haven’t seen a Masters debutant win since 1979, when Fuzzy Zoeller won in his first appearance. The only other two first-timers to win The Masters: Horton Smith in 1934 and Gene Sarazen in 1935.

Betting Outlook: 2026 Masters Picks

Gotterup has a game that could fit Augusta well, but it often take players time to grasp the nuances of this demanding course. And after a torrid start to the year, Gotterup hasn’t been particularly sharp over the last eight weeks. Don’t invest in Gotterup this week.
