2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Collin Morikawa
The best golfers in the world will be in Augusta, Georgia, this week for the first major of the year, The Masters. We’re going to share our top 2026 Masters picks and predictions.
Augusta National Golf Club is simultaneously a feast for the eyes and a stern test of golfing acumen. The Georgia pines and blooming azaleas highlight Augusta's beauty, but this world-renowned course demands precise ballstriking and short-game excellence.
Rory McIlroy had an epic victory at last year's Masters to earn his first Green Jacket. Can he successfully defend his title, or will the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win at Augusta for the third time in five years? PGA Tour stars Ludvig Aberg and Xander Schauffele are looking for a career-altering victory, and big-hitting LIV Tour stalwarts Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau will be in the hunt.
Welcome to the fifth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We'll take a deep dive into the field, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on.

Course History
Morikawa has made six career apopearances at The Masters, and he’s finished inside the top 20 in the last five. Morikawa’s only two top-five finishes were in years that Scottie Scheffler won (2022, 2024), and Morikawa wasn’t especially close to claiming a Green Jacket those years, finishing six and seven shots behind Scottie.
Recent Form
Morikawa withdrew from the Players Championship last month after injuring his back while taking a practice swing on his second hole of the round. He had hoped to return for a tune-up at last week’s Valero Texas Open, but Morikawa wasn’t feeling up to it and withdrew. Morikawa was riding a wave of momentum before the injury. He won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February, finished seventh at the Genesis Invitational the followng week, then placed fifth in last month’s Arnold Palmer Invitational.

2026 Masters Outlook & Predictions
There are few players in the world better with the irons than Morikawa, who currently leads the PGA Tour in strokes gained on approach. He’s also one of the most precise drivers in the game, ranking inside the top 10 in driving accuracy every season since 2023. But Morikawa’s putting and his play around the green have been problematic for much of his career, and Augusta National puts players’ short games to the ultimate test.
Betting Outlook: 2026 Masters Picks
With Morikawa coming off a back injury, betting him to win outright seems ambitious. But if Morikawa indicates that his back feels good, I could get on board with a top-10 bet at +215 or a top-20 bet at -114 (including ties).
