2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Justin Rose

The best golfers in the world will be in Augusta, Georgia, this week for the first major of the year, The Masters. We’re going to share our top 2026 Masters picks and predictions.

Augusta National Golf Club is simultaneously a feast for the eyes and a stern test of golfing acumen. The Georgia pines and blooming azaleas highlight Augusta's beauty, but this world-renowned course demands precise ballstriking and short-game excellence.

Rory McIlroy had an epic victory at last year's Masters to earn his first Green Jacket. Can he successfully defend his title, or will the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win at Augusta for the third time in five years? PGA Tour stars Ludvig Aberg and Xander Schauffele are looking for a career-altering victory, and big-hitting LIV Tour stalwarts Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau will be in the hunt.

Welcome to the fifth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We'll take a deep dive into the field, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on.

2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Justin Rose

Stats to Know

  • Odds to Win: +3600
  • World Ranking: 7
  • Best Masters finish: 2 (2015, 2017, 2025)
  • Last four Masters finishes: MC, 16, MC, 2
  • Last four tournament finishes: 37, MC, MC, 14

Course History

The 45-year-old Rose is running out of chances to earn a Green Jacket after coming so close on two previous occasions. In 2017, Rose had a one-shot lead with two holes to play but wound up losing to Sergio Garcia in a playoff. Last year, Rose played splendidly on Sunday, firing a 66 to force a playoff with Rory McIlroy, but Rory’s birdie on the first playoff hole left Rose a bridesmaid yet again. Rose also finished second at the 2015 Masters, though he was four shots behind winner Jordan Spieth. This will be Rose’s 21st appearance at The Masters. He has seven top-10 finishes and 11 top-20 finishes.

Recent Form

Rose won the Farmers Insurance Open in late January, but his year has been a mixed bag so far, with three missed cuts in six starts. His most recent event was the Players Championship, where he finished 13th. Rose has been good with the irons this year, ranking ninth in strokes gained on approach.

2026 Masters Outlook & Predictions

No one is sleeping on Rose after he went toe to toe with Rory McIlroy in the final round of last year’s Masters. His results have been inconsistent this year, but his win at Torrey Pines in February showed that Rose is still a dangerous competitor even in his mid-40s.

Betting Outlook: 2026 Masters Picks

I wish we were getting a slightly better number on Rose, but his strong showing in 2025 is still fresh in bettors’ minds. If Rose’s odds drift to 40-1 or longer, he’ll be worth an investment. Given Rose’s strong track record at Augusta, I also like his price for a top 20 (including ties) at +114.
