Cantlay has a career scoring average of 72.47 at Augusta National, and his only top-10 finish at the Masters was a ninth in 2019. He’s finished outside the top 20 in four of the last five years.

Recent Form

It’s been an unremarkable year for Cantlay thus far. Perhaps it’s a good omen that Cantlay’s only top 10 this year came in his most recent event, the Valspar Championship, where he finished seventh. Cantlay finished inside the top 15 at two tournaments in his native California. But overall, he hasn’t made much noise. The biggest culprit: an indifferent putter. Cantlay currently ranks 91st in strokes gained putting.

Cantlay’s delicate touch around the greens should serve him well at Augusta, but it’s hard to find other rays of hope. Cantlay hasn’t fared particularly well in the Masters throughout his career, and his 2026 form has been mediocre.

Betting Cantlay for an outright win is tantamount to setting money on fire. But if you want to interpret Cantlay’s seventh-place finish at the Valspar as the start of a turnaround, I could get on board with betting Cantlay for a top 20 (including ties) at +140.
