2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Round 4 Head-to-Head Bets
Golfers other than Rory McIlroy began to figure out how to conquer Augusta National during Round 3 of the 2026 Masters Tournament. Cameron Young rose to the occasion on Saturday, carding 7-under-par to jump into contention alongside McIlroy at 11-under-par.
My Round 3 Head-to-Head Bets settled 1-2. Sungjae Im couldn’t keep pace with Patrick Cantlay’s second straight bogey free performance, losing as a plus-odds underdog in his 2 ball matchup. Jason Day also took Chris Gotterup to school, as the veteran beat the young gun favorite by five strokes. Our lone winner came in a tight one between Marco Penge over Matt McCarty, shooting 71 to beat McCarty by one stroke as a -128 favorite.

2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Round 4 Head-to-Head Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Matchup – Round 4: Patrick Reed vs. Russell Henley
Russell Henley finally pieced it all together in Round 3 during mild conditions, firing a bogey free 66 to jump inside the top 10 heading into Sunday. Patrick Reed went the opposite direction, finishing even par after starting -3 under par through his first three holes.
I was big on Henley prior to the start of this major. The Georgia native is gaining 1.56 strokes putting, sitting above the field average of 1.66. Henley is also finding 81 percent of fairways and hitting 67 percent of greens in regulation, also well above average this week.
Reed’s putting has been just as reliable at 1.54, while matching Henley’s 81 percent fairway rate. However, greens in regulation are not as high for the 2018 Masters champion, sitting at 63 percent, giving an edge to Henley, who can avoid scrambling with his approach shot accuracy.
Momentum is on Henley’s side in this matchup prop. He’s gone 73-71-66, while Reed has logged 69-69-72. Oddsmakers have this set as a pick’em, so let’s bet on Henley to wind up with a lower score than Reed in Round 4.
Pick: Russell Henley (-115)
Matchup – Round 4: Patrick Cantlay vs. Jake Knapp
Patrick Cantlay’s gone two straight rounds without a bogey, which warrants massive respect at a difficult course like Augusta National. Oddsmakers have paired Cantlay with Jake Knapp in the Round 4 matchup prop betting market, giving a slight edge to Cantlay at -118 odds.
Knapp has not been a slouch. He’s just outside of the top 10 following a 3-under-par outing in Round 3. The power-hitter is finding 65 percent of greens in regulation and 74 percent of fairways, a tick above the field averages.
Cantlay has hit 70 percent of greens in regulation, while Knapp holds a .04 edge in putting (1.59 vs. 1.63), so I’ll back the golfer who is more accurate tee-to-green with more experience at Augusta National. Plus, Cantlay is red-hot, playing two consecutive rounds without a blemish on his scorecard.
Bet on Cantlay to continue playing his way into a big payday, beating Jake Knapp’s Round 4 score at -118 odds.
Pick: Patrick Cantlay (-118)
2 Ball – Round 4: Rory McIlroy vs. Cameron Young
The final pairing on Sunday at Augusta National is going to be must-watch television when Cameron Young takes on Rory McIlroy. After the 2025 winner appeared to have his second straight green jacket secured with a six-stroke lead heading into Round 3, McIlroy’s poor play on Saturday led to a +1 finish. This allowed Young to jump atop the leaderboard, alongside McIlroy at -11-under-par, thanks to a blistering 7-under-par performance.
Young rallied late at The Players Championship to beat another European major winner, Matt Fitzpatrick, during his last event played on March 12. Now, he has the chance to don his first green jacket and also check off a major victory, if he can beat McIlroy in a high-pressure matchup on Sunday.
Following a 73 in Round 1, when most golfers in the field, excluding McIlroy, struggled to get going due to wind, firmness, and adjustments to bentgrass greens, Young’s been trending up in the last two rounds. The American has carded 67 and 65 heading into Round 4, draining 14 birdies and only two bogeys during this run.
Young has hit 88 percent of fairways, 74 percent of greens, and sports a solid 1.54 putts per green in regulation. McIlroy is at 50 percent for fairways hit, 67 percent for greens in regulation, relying on strong putting from earlier in the tournament to sit at 1.50 putts per green in regulation.
I’m giving the edge to Young. He’s playing the best golf of his career on the biggest stage right now, while also playing much better tee-to-green than McIlroy and matching his putting prowess.
Lock in Cameron Young to beat Rory McIlroy on Sunday in their 2 Ball matchup at plus odds, likely leading to Young’s first career major win and green jacket.
Pick: Cameron Young (+116)
