Tuesday's Best 2026 World Cup Picks & Predictions
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Ivory Coast (+265) vs. Norway (+270), DRAW (+245) | O/U 2.5 (-170/+135)
A couple of second-place teams from their respective groups will get the day started Tuesday, as Ivory Coast (2-0-1) takes on Norway (2-0-1). The European nation is a modest -195 favorite to advance, while "The Elephants" come back at +150 to qualify for the Round of 16. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.
If there's one match in the Round of 32 that I can see being an absolute barnburner, it's this contest between Ivory Coast and Norway. But, rather than lay the -170 vig and take the over, I think we're getting a decent discount to simply bet both teams to score at -145.
Ivory Coast scored in all three group games, and they've now found the back of the net at least once in 13 consecutive matches. They'll take on a Norway side that has conceded in five straight matches, as well as in nine of their last 10 outings in all competitions. Both of these teams are quick and seem to play an offensive brand of soccer. Let's lock in the BTTS prop to get the day started.
Pick: Both Teams To Score (-145)
France (-330) vs. Sweden (+850), DRAW (+500) | O/U 3.5 (+115/-145)
2018 champions and 2022 runner-up France went a perfect 3-0-0 in their group, and this earns them a favorable first-round matchup against Sweden. The Swedes went 1-1-1 in Group F, and they're massive +500 underdogs to pull off the upset and move forward to the Round of 16. Kick-off is set for 5:00 p.m. ET from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
Initially, I was looking for an angle to try and back Sweden in the +2.0 (-165) range, but I ultimately do not believe that they have the firepower to keep pace against this loaded French squad. Instead, I'll back the tournament favorites and lay the 1.5 goals.
France won all three group stage matches by at least two goals, and they're 8-3 against a line of -1.5 in their last 11 outings. Didier Deschamps' bunch has scored twice in 12 of their last 13 matches. It doesn't matter who stands opposite of "Les Bleus", they're going to find offensive success.
Factor in a potential travel disadvantage for Sweden, who spent its group stage time in Mexico and Texas, and they don't have many variables in their favor. I'm backing France -1.5.
Pick: France -1.5 (-130)
Mexico (+120) vs. Ecuador (+310), DRAW (+190) | O/U 1.5 (-170/+135)
The day wraps up in the Mexican capital city, with host nation Mexico (3-0-0) hosting Ecuador (1-1-1). Mexico is priced at -185 to qualify, while Ecuador sits at +145. The World Cup nightcap gets underway at 9:00 p.m. ET from Estadio Banorte in Mexico City, Mexico.
Mexico has been flawless thus far, looking sharp on both ends of the pitch in the 2026 World Cup. Dating back even further, "El Tri" are in the midst of a 9-2-0 run this calendar year, out-scoring their opponents 21-2 during the stretch. This team could actually make a legit semi-final run, rather than bowing out early like the last eight World Cups.
Once again, I also have to point out the travel disadvantage as an angle in this tournament that spans three countries. Ecuador went from Philadelphia to Kansas City to East Rutherford in the group stage, and now they'll make the flight to Mexico City for Tuesday's match. Meanwhile, Mexico's national team hasn't left its borders in over a month. With their home fans behind them and their excellent form, I cannot pass up on a +120 payout to back Mexico in regulation on Tuesday night.
Pick: Mexico Moneyline (+120)
