3M Open PGA Tour Betting Odds, Picks & Guide (2022)

The 2022 major season has come to a close, as just a handful of events remain this summer ahead of the FedEx Cup playoff events starting in mid-August. This week for the fourth straight year, TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, MN will play host to the 3M Open as we begin a two-week midwest swing.

With many of the world’s best taking the week off following the British Open, Hideki Matsuyama is the top-ranked golfer in the field at #14.

Let’s take a closer look at the course, field, and one golfer I’m keyed in on for the week.

  • 2021: Cameron Champ
  • 2020: Michael Thompson
  • 2019: Matthew Wolff

Course Preview: TPC Twin Cities

Coming in at just under 7,431 yards, TPC Twin Cities is a beast of a course, well over the tour average of 7,200 yards. The land of 10,000 lakes lives up to its name on this course as well, with 27 total bodies of water throughout.

There are 11 par 4s on this course where players will really make up most of their scoring, as each ranks below the tour average for par %s. With each of the three winners finishing south of -15 by Sunday, expect a lot of birdies throughout the week in one of the easiest scoring events of the season

Outright Betting Picks

Adam Hadwin – (+1800 on DraftKings Sportsbook) & Top 20 (+100 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

In his 22 events played this season, Hadwin has made the cut in 16 of them and comes into the week following a week off after failing to qualify for the British Open. While he’s cooled off from three straight top 10s to start March, Hadwin has finished T35 or better in three of his last four events and has exceptional history here in the Twin Cities.

In his two events played, Hadwin has finishes of 4 (2019) and T6 (2021) and leads the field this week in True Strokes Gained, a full 0.4 strokes ahead of everyone not named Hideki Matsuyama. Coming into the week, Hadwin ranks #7 on tour in SG: Around-the-Green, and top 50 in SG: Approach and Greens in Regulation, all three metrics key for success here in Minnesota.

My favorite bet of the week is for Hadwin to continue his success here with a high finish, and I’m sprinkling an outright win as well as the Canadian searches for his first win of the season at a course he knows well.
