4 Best NBA Player Props for Monday (1/10)

We went 4-1 last time out and had another + money hit on Malik Monk’s threes. This brings our record on these plays up to 6-3. For today, we have a play with a little more juice than we have played with to this point, but it is extremely important to not let the juice deter you from the play, just like it is important to not let the line determine whether you take a play or not, without any other information.

LaMelo Ball OVER 6.5 Assists -135

Early into the youngest Ball Brother’s career, he has already established himself as one of the league’s best and flashiest of passers. This line is very low, and we shouldn’t overthink it as all of the numbers point to this being a great play as well. He is averaging 7.8 assists per game on the year and has dished out twenty assists in his last two games. This includes eight in a victory against this same Milwaukee Bucks team last time out. Look for LaMelo to keep the rhythm up here and sit around the same eight assist number from the last head-to-head.

Jaylen Brown OVER 23.5 Points -110

People like to try and ask who is better between Brown and Tatum when in reality, they are both transcendent superstars in this league. However, this will be the night of Brown. We saw what happened to the Celtics when they gave Jaylen a break for an extended stretch when they lost to the Knicks the first time, and as a result, he was the team’s leading scorer in the next head-to-head, and they won. Jaylen Brown is averaging 24.1 points per game this season, and prior to the two-game series with the Knicks, Brown had not scored fewer than 24 points since 12/18 (eight games). Look for Brown to return to form and approach thirty points again.

Jayson Tatum OVER 0.5 Blocks -110

Jayson Tatum is a star, as I mentioned before, but he has picked up his game defensively of late. He has a great matchup to pick up a block here against the Spurs, who are pretty small across the board. Jayson has had a block in five of his last six games, and two blocks in three of them. Over this six-game stretch, he is averaging 1.3 blocks per game, and I like his chances to pick up another couple tonight!

Bojan Bogdanovic OVER 2.5 Threes -115

Bojan Bogdanovic of the Utah Jazz has certainly found a home in Quinn Snyder’s offense as a marksman. For the season, he is shooting 41.7% from beyond the arc and making 2.7 threes a game on 6.5 attempts. He has hit at least three threes in four of his last five games and has hit 3.2 threes per game on 8.4 attempts. It is clear that his usage is up of late and we should take advantage of it at this reasonable price of -115.
