4 Best NBA Player Props for Wednesday (1/12)

As we continue to watch this NBA season, the sample size for our plays only grows larger. This is true for both the player’s tendencies overall and against specific teams. By now, most teams have seen each other at least once. Today we have four plays again, so let’s dive right into it!

Dejounte Murray OVER 30.5 Points + Assists -115

Dejounte Murray had a slow but steady rise as a pro before this season, but he has taken major strides forward this season. He averages 18.4 points and 8.9 assists for the season as a whole, but over the last four games, he has picked it up, averaging 23 points and 9.5 assists per game. The Rockets are not good defensively, and it seems like Coach Pop has a leader to look out for for the remainder of the season!

Evan Mobley OVER 16.5 Points -108

The Jazz are a solid team through in through, but it has been shown that Evan Mobley goes to work on teams that struggle against the mid-range (as shown the last time we played him). As 5.5 point underdogs, the Cavs have never been afraid of a challenge, but they need their team to show up for the challenge. In four of his last five games, Mobley has hit this number and is averaging 18.3 points per game in his previous eight. Look for him to end in the 18-22 point range!

Lonzo Ball OVER 2.5 Threes -162

The Bulls have an opportunity tonight to make a statement to the rest of the conference that they are here to stay tonight by showing up at home for their game with the Brooklyn Nets. To do that, they need more than their two stars to show up. Enter their new point guard Lonzo Ball. He has helped a lot on defense and is not shy from beyond the arc, as he has hit this number in his last three games and has hit it in eight of his previous nine as well. They won by 46 last night, so don’t worry about any back-to-back effect, as they were just fine-tuning for tonight. He also has hit at least four in six of his last nine, so 4+ threes at +164 is worth a look too!

Jalen Brunson 15+ Points -152

The Mavs love this guy, and for good reason. When half of the team was out with COVID did he give up? NOPE. He worked on being a leader and grew right before our eyes. This number is worth paying the -152 juice as he scored exactly fifteen points in two of the last three, scoring 17 in the other. The Knicks are much better at defending inside, so I expect an expanded role for Brunson to help them go into Madison Square Garden and stay hot.
