2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Golfers to Fade

Tommy Fleetwood

Although he often finds himself in the hunt in big events, Fleetwood has had a hard time closing. So at odds of 25-1 to win this week, I’m very much out. His odds for a top 10 or top 20 are slightly more appealing, but since Fleetwood hasn’t made a lot of noise at The Masters over the years, and since his game isn’t an especially good fot for Augusta, I’m going to fade Fleetwood entirely.

Matt Fitzpatrick

Recent success has shortened Fitzpatrick’s Masters odds to the point where there’s almost no betting value here. With his unremarkable track record at this tournament, Fitzpatrick is a clear fade.

Justin Thomas

Despite an uninspiring track record, I’d be interested in Thomas at odds north of 50-1 if he weren’t in the rust-removal phase of his return from back surgery. JT is a fade this week.

Si Woo Kim

At 45-1, Kim is a clear fade. He’s never finished top 10 at The Masters, and his putting simply isn’t good enough for him to make a run at a Green Jacket.

Adam Scott

Scott’s odds to win (+6200) seem rather short for a player who hasn’t seriously contended at Augusta in years and hasn’t won on the PGA Tour since February 2020. There isn’t much value on Scott in the top-10 or top-20 markets either. Fade him.
