Whether you’re new to sports betting or a betting pro, our Sports Betting Strategy and Advice page is for you. Finally, live sports are starting to return. The days of betting on darts, ping pong, and Belarusian soccer are coming to an end.

This weekend, we’ve got some UFC action live from Florida, and we’ve got professional baseball from Korea. We’ll have real-life NASCAR racing next weekend, and the Bundesliga will be back in action then, too.

Here are your top-five live events for betting purposes this weekend.

1. UFC 249

Where: 888sport, FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, FOX Bet, William Hill.
When: Saturday, 10:00 PM (ESPN+)

Although the UFC had to make some adjustments due to the coronavirus, UFC 249 still features a stacked card. The headline event, a lightweight match between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje, should set up a future date with champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

By all means, Ferguson is the favorite, and DraftKings has him at -186 to win. You can buy him to win by knockout, submission, or disqualification at -106. The sportsbook is running an odds-boosting promotion, however, and you should use that to increase your payout.

I’d play the favorite here. Ferguson was scheduled to fight Khabib initially, and since the champion will face the winner of this one, Gaethje is just another body for Ferguson to roll before he can claim the title himself.

2. Korean Baseball

Where: 888sport, FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, FOX Bet, William Hill.
When: Games run all weekend.

If baseball’s your thing, watching it live from Korea might be a little difficult. Because of time zones, their games take place in the wee hours of the morning (on the East Coast, at least). But if you’re the type who can stomach staying up until 4:00 AM to watch the start of a baseball game — or if you can wake yourself up that early — be my guest.

Even though it might be difficult to watch, you can still catch games on tape delay to help you learn about the league. Some key rules to note: each team gets a designated hitter, and each regular-season game is capped at 12 innings.

Friday morning’s games get underway before this article publishes, but we can use those lines to make predictions for the rest of the weekend because each team is playing a three-game set. The series between the 0-3 KT Wiz and the 2-1 Doosan Bears should offer some value at FanDuel — the run over/under is currently set at 9.5, but Doosan’s 5.3 runs per game and KT’s 3 add up to just 8.33. If the line doesn’t move before Saturday’s game, play the under at -126.

3. International Soccer

Where: 888sport, FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, FOX Bet, William Hill.
When: Games run all weekend.

We’ve got lines on live soccer games from five different countries this weekend on FOX Bet: Belarus, Nicaragua, Turkmenistan, South Korea, and the Faroe Islands. These leagues will enjoy their last weekend in the spotlight before the German Bundesliga recaptures it next weekend.

In Belarus, we’ve got an exciting matchup between second-place FC Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino and FC Slavia-Mozyr. After a pair of 0-0 draws, Torpedo scored five goals last week against FC Minsk, and they allowed two goals on defense. They take on one of the league’s worst defenses in Slavia-Mozyr this weekend, as the club has allowed the third-most goals of any team. Despite their poor defense, they have a 3-1-3 record because of their offensive prowess. Combined, the teams are averaging 2.7 goals per game. With the over/under set at 2.5, I’d tap the over at +138 on FOX Bet.

4. eNASCAR Racing

Where: DraftKings, BetMGM, FOX Bet, William Hill.
When: Saturday, 3:00 PM (FOX, FS1)

The eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series heads to virtual North Wilkesboro Speedway this weekend, a track that’s been off the NASCAR schedule since 1996. The track is a relic of NASCAR’s past, and while its real-life counterpart is in disrepair, drivers can still compete on its simulated banks.

Surprisingly, three-time series winner William Byron won’t race in this one. That throws off the odds at every sportsbook, as he had been the consistent favorite. Over at William Hill, Ryan Preece (+550) and Denny Hamlin (+550) offer better value than new favorite Timmy Hill (+300), especially since Hill must start from the rear of the field. With his success at the similarly-constructed Richmond Raceway back in April, Preece is my bet to win this one.

5. Darts

Where: FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, FOX Bet, William Hill.
When: Events run all weekend.

Both the Professional Darts Corporation’s (PDC) Home Tour and British Modus Icons of Darts will continue this weekend.

The format is similar to that of the NBA Horse challenge, as players stream their use of regulation setups at home. This British darts database should be beneficial if you’re looking for betting value here.
