Argentina vs. Australia: 2022 World Cup Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions (Saturday)

Seemingly as soon as we were getting started the 2022 FIFA World Cup reached its halfway mark, as group play is complete and things are now single-elimination. On Saturday, Group A winner Netherlands will take on Group B runner-up USA in the early slot, while Group C winner Argentina takes on Group D’s runner-up Australia.

Let’s take a look at how things might pan out with two single-game parlays to get take us through the action. And here’s a closer look at Argentina vs. Australia.

Argentina vs. Australia: 2022 World Cup Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions (Saturday)

Argentina vs. Australia (Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan; 2 p.m.)

  • Leg 1: Anytime Goalscorer – Lionel Messi (-140)
  • Leg 2: Anytime Goalscorer – Lautaro Martinez (+130)
  • Leg 3: Under 3.5 Goals (-235)

From here on in, every Argentina game of this World Cup has the potential to be Lionel Messi’s last in an Argentina uniform. Already with two goals in this World Cup, I like for Messi to make it at least three in this spot vs. an Australia team that will all but surely be on the wrong end of a mismatched affair.

Messi’s teammate Lautaro Martinez also figures to get in on the action, as the Inter Milan striker is one of the best in this tournament to not yet find the scorers sheet. In what I expect to be a 2-0 or 2-1 Argentina win, look for it to be a family affair for the winners as they advance to the quarterfinals.
