With the English Premier League now officially slated to return in three weeks, European soccer continues to return slowly but surely from the pandemic that has rocked our world for the past three months. One European league, however, has remained steady for us since the beginning.

On the eastern part of the continent, the Belarusian Premier League now enters its 11th week, having not missed a single game (while always allowing fans) throughout its entire season. I’ve been following each week since the start, cashing bets along the way and enjoying a surprisingly watchable product.

Let’s take a look at a game I have my eye on for Saturday.

Dinamo Minsk (+195) vs. Shakhtyor Soligorsk (+132), 12:00 PM EST (via DraftKings Sportsbook)

After a mediocre start, going just 1-2-1 through their first five, Shakhtyor Soligorsk has been playing some of the best football in Belarus as of late. They’ve won four of their last five matches and have earned points in each of them. Currently, they sit with a goal differential of +12, which ties them with league-leader BATE Borisov for the highest. Shakhtyor has allowed just three goals on the season.

The last time we saw them on the pitch, Shakhtyor drew the worst team in the league in Belshina Bobruisk, and they won 4-0 at home in a game that was never close. With the win, Shakhtyor turned in their fourth clean sheet in a row, and they have now not allowed a goal in league play since April 17th.

On the other side of this Belarusian affair, Dinamo Minsk enters the second third of the season as one of the most hot-and-cold teams in the league. After starting the season with two straight losses, Minsk has been up and down, with their most notable win coming over FC Smolevichi on the road at the end of April.

Their last time out was a 1-1 draw on the road at Vitebsk, where they scored just one goal for the fourth consecutive match. After scoring in the fifth minute of play, they struggled to do much of anything over the final 85.

In this one, I look for Shakhtyor to continue their winning ways as they surge up the table. They’re now just three points (one win) from the top.

Pick: Shakhtyor Soligorsk +132
