As the summer starts to heat up and the rest of the sporting world emerges from the shutdown, the Belarusian Premier League enters its 11th week of uninterrupted regular season play. Having not missed a single practice or game, all while allowing fans (albeit just a few), the BPL has been a haven for die-hard soccer fans and bettors alike.
From the beginning, Iâve been following this league, and I have found the quality of play to be better than expected. Seeing the ebbs and flows of the league now for 10 weeks, I have my eye on a Sunday match where I believe I have an edge.
Letâs take a closer look.

Energetik BGU (+108) vs. Vitebsk (+240), 9:00 AM EST (via DraftKings Sportsbook)
After starting the season at a torrid pace, decisively winning their first three straight, Energetik-BGU cooled off a bit by losing their following three. Since then, the youngest team in the league has stormed right back, winning their last four in a row while scoring at least two goals in each.
The last time we saw them out was a back-and-forth game against Isloch on the road, a 2-1 win that they won dramatically with a 93â² goal by Evgeni Yudchits. With the win, Energetik finds themselves back at the top of the table, trailing league-leader BATE Borisov by a single point.
Finding themselves in desperate need of a win, Vitebsk will hit the road to play Energetik in this one after a largely mediocre campaign thus far. Through 10 games, Vitebsk sits with a record of 3-4-3, a goal differential of -2, and theyâre right smack in the middle of the table.
A week ago, Vitebsk played Dinamo Minsk to a 1-1 draw. That was their third draw in a row, and they hadnât scored more than one goal in any of them. Facing an Energetik squad thatâs seeking their fifth win in a row, Vitebsk will have to do more in the final third than theyâve done all season to get past the increasingly strong Energetik backline.
In the end, I see these two teams as trending in the opposite directions, and I expect that trajectory to continue in this one.
