With soccer leagues across Europe beginning to fire up operations in the hops of closing out the 2019-20 season, one professional league has been humming along while not missing a single game. The Belarus Premier League (BPL), has managed to not only allow fans from the start but prevent any major outbreaks with little to no over the top restrictions or testing.
Now entering their 14th week of regular season play, weâve been following from the beginning and cashing tickets along the way. While many of the eyeballs (and bankrolls) will rightfully turn to the English Premier League and La Ligaâs of the landscape, weâll be looking to take advantage of what I expect to be even softer lines.
Letâs take a look at a matchup this weekend that I have my eye on.

FC Belshina Bobruisk (+800) vs. Bate Borisov (-400): Sunday, 9:00 AM EST
(Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook)
Fresh off their first win of the season, Belshina Bobruisk is riding high after finding the win column for the first time in over six months. Playing against the always volatile Energetik BGU, Belshinaâs win came on the road in the form of a 1-0 result that brings their points total on the season to six.
Going from whatâs on paper one top team to the next, Belshina faces a significant step up in opponents this week as they return home to face the almighty Bate Borisov.
As has been the theme for the better part of two decades, Bate is once again the class of the BPL, sitting atop the table with 27 points and a goal differential of +13. The last time we saw them on the pitch was a 2-2 draw against second-place Shakhter, their second draw in two games.
While they remain atop the table with their recent results, Bate knows that Shakhter and suddenly Dynamo Brest are hot on their tails, with all three teams being within five points.
In this one, I expect Bate to get back in the win column in decisive fashion, as they look to get all the easy points they can as the back half of the season rounds into form in the coming weeks. Though the juice is heavy, I donât see a scenario in which Belshina even makes this one close. If you can find a spread, I like Bate to win by at least two goals.
