Belarus Premier League (Vysshaya Liga): Vitebsk vs. Neman Grodno Odds & Game Pick (2020)
Western Europe’s professional soccer leagues have just started to find their footing amid the pandemic. In contrast, the Belarusian Premier League (BPL) has yet to miss a beat. Since starting their regular season on time, the BPL has now played 16 consecutive weeks, and the organization has just three weeks left in the first half of its regular season.
Since the beginning, we’ve been following and cashing tickets along the way. I expect these last few weeks of action to be no different.
Let’s take a look at a Sunday afternoon matchup I have my eye on.

Vitebsk (+155) vs. Neman Grodno (+155): Sunday, 1:30 PM EST
With just three games left on the schedule before the break for both teams, Neman Grodno comes into this one with exponentially more to play for. Currently sitting with 29 points, Neman is in a three-way tie for the third and final place in the UEFA Qualifiers, and a win in this one would bring them one step closer.
They have won eight of their last 10, including their last seven. As a result, Neman has stormed up the table, and July 4th’s 1-0 win over Isloch earned them their third straight clean sheet.
Vitebsk comes into this one sitting five points outside of relegation. Barring a complete collapse over these final three games, they should avoid it. Their last time out, they played to a 2-2 draw against Gorodeya. That was just the second time they scored more than one goal in their last 10.
Outside of last week’s two-goal outburst by Vitebsk, neither of these teams score often. More times than not (six of their last combined eight), the clubs have played to 1-0 or 1-1 results. In this one, with Neman unable to afford a defeat, I expect a conservative approach from both sides. Look for this game to stay under the total of 2.5.
