How many quarterbacks will be drafted in the first round?
“The total of QBs selected in the first round will be higher than 2.5 (-135). Simply put, we know Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders will be in there. The question is, where does Jaxson Dart fit into this equation? Teams love having the 5th-year option, given to first-round picks on their rookie contracts, tied to a quarterback. It gives that team one extra year to either see what they have in that player or one extra year to tie them down to a long-term extension. Look for a team at the top half of the draft (Cleveland, New York Giants, as examples) to explore trading back into the twenties to try and acquire Dart. That is, if the Steelers don’t select him first.”

“I like betting the over on 2.5 quarterbacks being selected in the first round, which can be found at -135 odds on DraftKings. It’s true that this isn’t a particularly exciting quarterback class, and Cam Ward is the only signal-caller who is a lock to go off the board on night one. However, this is also a draft without many true blue-chip talents, and a huge chunk of the NFL has either short-term or long-term questions at quarterback. As the board flattens out in the back half of the first round, expect a surprise team or two to make a move to lock down cost-controlled upside at the most important position in sports.”

Kelvin Banks Jr. draft slot
“Kelvin Banks Jr. to be the 10th overall pick (+550 on DraftKings). Picking certain players to go at an exact pick can be dangerous because if the team currently holding that pick trades it, your bet is likely ruined. Reportedly, the Chicago Bears are exploring moving up in the draft, presumably to select Ashton Jeanty. Yet, if they stick at 10th overall, Banks could be the pick. He has the third-best odds behind Tyler Warren (+350) and Jeanty (+425). Unfortunately, both elite playmakers could be off the board within the first seven picks. Meanwhile, the Bears made several additions to their offensive line after hiring Ben Johnson as their new head coach. However, starting left tackle Braxton Jones and starting left guard Joe Thuney are free agents after the upcoming season. Banks can play either spot and provide Caleb Williams with a blindside protector. Don’t be surprised if Chicago continues to invest in their offensive line in the first round and select the former Texas star.”

Ashton Jeanty draft slot
“My favorite prop bet for the 2025 NFL Draft is Ashton Jeanty to be drafted over 6.5 at +140 odds (via DraftKings Sportsbook). Jeanty’s 2024 Heisman runner-up campaign (2,497 rushing yards, 29 TDs) makes him a top running back, but the Raiders at No. 6 are rumored to prioritize other needs like quarterback or offensive line, potentially pushing Jeanty to later picks. The +300 odds offer strong value given the draft’s early focus on premium positions and the depth of this RB class, with Omarion Hampton also in contention. Teams like the Vikings or Cowboys, picking later, could snap him up, making the over a smart play.”

“Ashton Jeanty to be a top 5 pick (-160 Draft Kings). The word I’m hearing (from Bryan Broaddus) is that the Jaguars want Jeanty. However, they’re worried that New England could trade down and someone could leapfrog them to snatch Jeanty in front of them. Jacksonville owns the 5th pick, so if either of those scenarios pans out, this bet would be a winner. As a general rule, I’m not a fan of betting favorites when it comes to the draft because it’s very unpredictable, but, at the moment, this is the one I have the most confidence in cashing. (Ringo’s disclaimer- remember, there are no sure things when it comes to sports betting. Only bet if you can comfortably afford to lose without suffering financial hardship.)”

What position will a team select first?
“One of my favorite bets for the NFL Draft is for the Washington Commanders to select a safety with their first pick (+360, DK). These odds were all the way up at +900 a few days ago before plummeting. I’ll still bet it at this number. The Commanders have a glaring need at both safety spots and find themselves sitting in a pick range in the first round, where Malaki Starks and Nick Emmanwori have been consistently falling. This bet remains mispriced. Smash it.”
– Derek Brown (FantasyPros)
“I like the betting value on the Ravens taking an offensive lineman with their first pick (+350 on DraftKings). Yes, the Ravens generally take the best player available, but there should be some quality O-linemen available when they’re on the clock at No. 27. Baltimore could use guard help, and 31-year-old left tackle Ronnie Stanley has a lengthy injury history. Ohio State tackle Josh Simmons has made a top-30 visit to Baltimore and could slide to the end of the first round because of a patellar injury he sustained last fall. The Ravens have a thing for Alabama players, and it’s not hard to imagine them drafting Bama guard Tyler Booker to pave lanes for Derrick Henry.”

Top 5 exact order
“I was going to go with Tetairoa McMillan to be the first WR drafted at -165, but that line has dropped to -250 at BetMGM and all the down to -350 at Caesars Sportsbook. I’ll stick with a McMillan prediction, but let’s get a little nuts with it. On DraftKings, they have odds for the Top 5 Exact order. Right now, the favorite at -105 is Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, and Ashton Jeanty. But if you swap Jeanty with McMillan, you can get +550. I know the smoke has the Jaguars loving Jeanty, but they also need a WR if they’re going to turn this offense around and have a shot at fixing Trevor Lawrence. I’ll drop a unit on the -105 option with Jeanty, but then try to hedge it with a half-unit play on +550 and McMillan.”

Will Oluwafemi Oladejo be drafted in the first round?
“My favorite prop market to bet in the NFL Draft is “Will Player X be selected in Round 1?” This year, especially with many NFL draft analysts viewing players 15-60 in a similar tier with strong Day 2 prospects. Therefore, we could get some off-the-wall selections toward the end of Round 1. The guy I am pinpointing with longer than 20-1 odds is UCLA edge rusher Oluwafemi Oladejo. He has been rumored to be selected between picks 29-45 with teams like the Eagles, 49ers, and Commanders eyeing him as a potential target, according to NFL insider Tony Pauline.”
