Friday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay (SGP) Picks
(Odds courtesy of BetMGM)
New York Mets at St. Louis Cardinals
- Leg 1: Cardinals Moneyline (+100)
- Leg 2: Clayton Holmes Under 1.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+110)
If the pitching matchup looks familiar, it should. Sonny Gray and Clayton Holmes faced off in New York back on April 20 (7-4 Mets). The Cardinals are only hitting .212 over the last week, so it would not be shocking to see Holmes have another solid outing.
The Mets, on the other hand, have been hitting .282, but Gray is good enough to keep things from getting out of control. St. Louis has been bringing its "A" game at home (10-5), and I expect them to do the same tonight, getting the go-ahead runs off the Mets’ bullpen. Holmes held four of five opponents in April to one run or less, including his matchup vs. the Cardinals on April 20.
With the Cardinals hitting just .212 over the last week, chances are good he can contain the St. Louis lineup once again.
A $100 wager will result in a $600 payday, your stake plus $500 in winnings.
Parlay Odds: +500
Detroit Tigers at Los Angeles Angels
- Leg 1: Tigers -1.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Tarik Skubal Under 1.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-125)
Tarik Skubal got the year off to a slow start but has been taking care of business the last few starts (two runs allowed and 30 strikeouts over his last four games (30 innings)). Angels pitcher Jose Soriano is not bad (4.50 ERA), but he may get no run support from his lineup. The Angels are struggling to generate offense, hitting just .204 over the last week. Skubal has shut out three of his last four opponents.
With how he's pitching and with how poorly the Angels are hitting, it would not be shocking to see Skubal shut the Angels out.
A $100 wager would result in a $285 payday, your stake plus $185 in winnings.
Parlay Odds: +185
Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants
- Leg 1: Giants -1.5 (-125)
- Leg 2: Robbie Ray Under 1.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+105)
San Francisco is in a bit of a slump with three straight losses, but playing a team like the Rockies at home is the best way to break through. Robbie Ray is 1-0 in three home starts, but has yet to give up more than two runs and five hits. The San Francisco lineup has only hit .233 over the last week, but Antonio Senzatela is not going to scare anyone (1-4, 5.22 ERA), although he has been tough on the road.
The Giants should have clobbered the Rockies yesterday and certainly should do so today. As for Robbie Ray's earned runs total, Ray has not allowed more than two runs in a home game. With how poorly the Rockies are hitting (.193 over the last week), I'd be surprised if the Rockies were to score one run, let alone two.
A $100 wager would result in a $288 payday, your stake plus $188 in winnings.
