NFL Player Props, Picks & Predictions: Browns vs. Jets

Here are some of Andrew Erickson’s top picks for Browns vs. Jets. And check out all of his top picks for NFL Week 5.

Best Bets for Browns vs. Jets

I like the Jets at home to win this game outright. NYJ is 2-0 ATS at home this season, and the Browns are a team we continue to fade when they play on the road. The Browns are light on their defensive line with injuries to Mason Graham and Mike Hall Jr., opening up the Jets’ run game by a decent margin.

The Jets offense is catching strays after last week’s performance – but that was more about their defense’s inability to get off the field. New York ran just 32 offensive plays. The last time a team ran that few plays was in 2025. The Las Vegas Raiders, led by QB Geno Smith, ran 30 offensive plays in a 31-0 defeat to the Chiefs. In the next game Smith played, he threw for 4 TDs.

Rain in the forecast doesn’t necessarily favor either team, so I’ll just side with the slight home favorite (and continue to be versus Deshaun Watson).

Best NFL Same Game Parlay for Browns vs. Jets

Here is our top NFL same game parlay for Browns vs. Jets. And you can view all of our Week 5 NFL same game parlays.

Quinshon Judkins hasn't been efficient or very productive this season. The Browns lead back is averaging just 3.0 yards per carry and 44.3 rushing yards per game. However, this week's matchup should lead to a much better stat line.

The Jets are allowing the third-most rushing yards per game to opposing running backs. The defense also ranks 31st in the league in run-stop win rate. Yes, Judkins hasn't impressed thus far, but he can gain 60+ yards in this matchup. He almost got there last week, with 53 yards on 17 carries. He also had 70 yards on 18 carries in the prior game. At least the workload is encouraging.

Meanwhile, expect the Jets to limit Deshaun Watson's passing yards. New York is allowing the sixth-fewest passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks, at 205.5 per contest. Watson just had his best statistical game of the year, with 268 yards against Pittsburgh. Even so, he also had only 144 yards against Carolina the game before.

For the Jets, let's root for Garrett Wilson in a favorable spot. The Browns are allowing the eighth-most receiving yards per game to opposing wide receivers. They've also given up 80+ yards to a wideout in three out of four games. This bodes well for Wilson, who put up 107 yards on 10 receptions two weeks ago. Look for him to bounce back after a quiet Week 4.

What is an NFL player prop bet?

An NFL player prop bet is a type of wager where you’re betting on the performance of a specific player in a game rather than the overall outcome. For example, you might place a bet on how many passing yards a quarterback will throw for, or how many touchdowns a running back will score. It’s a fun way to get more invested in the action, especially if you’re confident in how a particular player will perform, regardless of who wins or loses the game. It’s like focusing on one slice of the pie instead of the whole thing.
