This is a game where both teams know they need to establish their outside presence to set up the big men inside. Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo are both starters in this year’s All-Star Game, Embiid is on Team LeBron and Giannis will be playing for Team Durant. They both will most likely get a shot off inside the paint in this time, but they both tend to look for their shooters early on to create an easier game for them later on. I expect at least 4 attempts from deep in this time, and I would be shocked if two didn’t go in.
Pelicans Win & Brandon Ingram Over 20.5 Points @ +280 via Caesars Sportsbook
This is a fantastic letdown spot for the Mavericks, and a great line to take it at, as in order for the Pels to win this one, they will need at least 21 from BI. The Mavericks have Luka Doncic going to the All-Star game, and over the last few years, it has appeared that players try to coast into the break and be well-rested for the festivities (ironically enough), so at this price, this is definitely worth a look.
Bam Adebayo & LaMelo Ball to Combine for 70+ points/rebounds/assists @ +100 via DraftKings
These are two of the most promising players in the game, on each side of the ball, but don’t get it twisted, these guys can hoop. Charlotte is especially weak in defending at the rim, so I would be surprised to see the offense not run through him. He is a double-double threat every night, and he has been an extremely important part of any success that the Heat have had to this point of the season, look for a minimum of 18 points, 11 rebounds, and the assists to be bonus, as he should get up to 40 PRA on his own. LaMelo Ball is a triple-double threat each night, and he has found his scoring stroke. With Jimmy Butler potentially across from him, he will have to be crafty about his position on the floor at all times, which I think will create switches and allow him to approach double-digit assists.
David Pastrnak 2+ Points @ +300 via DraftKings
Without Brad Marchand, it is clear who the Bruins play through, David Pastrnak. They take on an Islanders team that can be tricky at times but will not be too much for him this evening. He is the type of player that scores in bunches, and he can draw a lot of attention to set his teammates up. Look for him to do that as the Bruins try to take one that opened with them as slight dogs!
