Best Player Draft Position Odds & Bets (2022 NFL Draft)

We’re now just hours away from the start of the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, and this figures to be one of the more unpredictable drafts in recent memory. This draft class doesn’t have the star power that we have seen in previous years, especially when it comes to the quarterback position. For those reasons, there hasn’t been a clear consensus on who the top overall pick will be or much chatter about teams looking to trade up in the draft.

Earlier this week, Travon Walker overtook Aidin Hutchinson as the favorite to go No. 1 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars. It isn’t clear who will draft Malik Willis or Kenny Pickett or if either or both will be drafted in the first round.

All of this uncertainty is an advantage for sports bettors, especially as the various sportsbooks move their lines and tweak their odds as information becomes available. This is especially true when it comes to Player Draft Position bets (or Player Draft Slot bets). Let’s take a look at some of the best odds and bets for player draft positions ahead of the draft.

The BettingPros consensus Over/Under for Matt Corral is 33.5, but FanDuel Sportsbook currently has the line at 34.5 and -114 in either direction. That gives bettors an extra pick at the beginning of the second round to work with and some wiggle room if another team wants a quarterback and moves up to take Corral. PointsBet has the line at over 32.5 for -149 if you’d like to bump this in the other direction and +115 for the under if you are especially confident that he will be drafted in the first round.

Best Bet: Under 34.5 at FanDuel Sportsbook (-114)

Kenneth Walker III and Breece Hall are the top two running backs in this class, with Hall expected to go off the board first. The consensus Over/Under for Walker is currently 47.5, but FanDuel Sportsbook currently has it at 43.5. If you’re looking to bet the over, you’re better off going to FanDuel and getting the 43.5 number for -114. For the under, DraftKings Sportsbook has this at -120 for 47.5. While the lower over at FanDuel is tempting, I have a hard time believing that Walker is going to last until No. 48.

Best Bet: Under 47.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook (-12o)

Are you getting the gist yet? The consensus is Over/Under 9.5, but FOX Bet has this listed at 12.5. Caesars Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook both have the line at 7.5. I am tempted to take over 7.5 and under 12.5 here, but I’m going to play it safe and just go under the number that is three spots higher than the consensus and five spots higher than multiple other books.

It feels like we’re picking on FOX Bet a bit here, but they seem to have drastically different odds and lines for some of these. Even at -200, an under two spots higher than the consensus and three spots higher than FanDuel is worth the risk.

Quay Walker’s lines are all over the place, and I actually went to FanDuel and PointsBet to make sure these numbers were correct. They are. Sign me up for over 20.5 easily, and I’m fairly confident that the under 38.5 will hit, too.

Consensus is 29.5. FOX Bet has this at 26.5, while Caesars Sportsbook has it at 31.5. I’m more confident in the under 31.5 hitting because I’m a little nervous that a team in the mid-20s is going to really like Booth and not way to miss out on the run on cornerbacks.

Best Bet: Under 31.5 at Caesars Sportsbook (-150)
