Best Prop Bets Today

On top of pinpointing our top prop bets by star rating, we can take it a step further by identifying which five-star props also have a 100% hit rate over the player's last five games. You can also filter hit rates over the past 15 games, but let's not push our luck.

Samad Taylor Over 0.5 Singles

Last Week: 1-0  | Season Record: 3-2 | Best Odds: +110 at Hard Rock Bet

Thanks to Jack Leiter’s prowess for issuing free passes, we are back in the win column. Let’s try to make it two cashes in a row.

The MLB prop bet cheat sheet today features 30 player props with a 100% hit rate over the last five games - with only three labeled as 5-star bets.

Two of the three 5-star bets belong to San Diego Padres outfielder Samad Taylor. We settled on backing his singles prop, which is set at 0.5, but you can realistically go with either prop.

The BettingPros prop bet cheat sheet likes Taylor to record at least one single today in his road matchup against Jacob deGrom and the Texas Rangers.

Taylor is on an active nine-game hit streak, and the only game he failed to record a base hit came in his season debut on June 3rd after being called up from Triple-A.

The Padres outfielder has two multi-hit performances during this nine-game stretch, including a pair of doubles against the Orioles last week.

Only three players have longer active hitting streaks than Taylor:

  • Zack Gelof: 21
  • Alec Burleson: 17
  • Nick Kurtz: 10

Taylor is hitting .331 over his past nine games, and his hot streak at the plate has been nothing short of surprising. Over the previous three seasons, he was a combined 15-for-73, including just one hit in eight at-bats last season. This year, he is 12-for-35, including a 0-for-2 season debut.

Friday's matchup against deGrom will be righty versus righty, and Taylor has done most of his damage this season against right-handed pitchers - 9-for-27 with a .333/.400/.481 triple slash line. Seven of those nine were singles.

Right-handed hitters have a .231 batting average against deGrom this season, compared to a .198 mark by left-handed hitters. Of the 27 hits deGrom has allowed to righties, 20 have been singles.

At plus-money odds, with Taylor recording a hit in each of his past nine games, it's hard not to back the red-hot Padres outfielder to record another single on Friday.
