Best Sportsbook Odds Boosts of the Day: Karl-Anthony Towns, Ja Morant, Jonas Valanciunas (1/13)

With sports betting exponentially growing in popularity across the nation, the sportsbooks are competing for our action. It is a wonderful thing! This is the first of many editions going through each book and finding the boosts that are worth our time. At the same time, we’re also making sure that we stay away from boosts that try to get us to bite on a good player or team that has a bad matchup. Here are the best (and worst) odds boosts for today.

PLAY: Karl-Anthony Towns, Jaren Jackson & Jonas Valanciunas Each Over 9.5 Rebounds @ +1600 on Caesar’s Sportsbook (NBA)

This big man prop provides us with a real opportunity to make a bonus on what parlaying these lines otherwise would net us. A normal three-leg parlay pays out six to one, but we get SIXTEEN to one here. Towns’ line is set at 9.5 rebounds at +105, so they feel like he is very likely to get nine rebounds, and that getting over the double-digit line is a toss-up. Personally, I think this is a nice matchup with Steven Adams expected to remain out, that opens up the paint a bit for Towns. It also opens up the paint for his teammate Jaren Jackson Jr., who has his line set at 5.5 Rebounds, has reached double-digit rebounds in each of the last two games that Adams has been out. Finally, Valanciunas has been a beast on the glass and has been one of the most reliable glass cleaners on the year. His line is set at 11.5, so to get him at 9.5 adds to the extreme value that this boost provides.

PLAY: Ja Morant to Combine for OVER 37.5 Pts/Reb/Ast @ +100 from BetRivers (NBA)

This is a special from BetRivers, but it is definitely worth taking advantage of. Across all books, including on a different page on this same site, the line is set at 38.5. How many times have you lost a bet by the hook? It happens all the time. This is the best line on the market for a superstar player to strut his stuff against a team that is mediocre at guarding point guards in general. Sign me up!

AVOID: Colorado Win and Over 152.5 Points @ +2000 (NCAAB)

Colorado heads to McKale Memorial Center to take on the Arizona Wildcats, and I don’t think a win is in the cards, hence the boost in odds. Arizona is 12-1 and has the largest average margin of victory in ALL of Division I, at 24.8 points per game, and it goes up to 34.4 points per game at home. Colorado is not a bad team, but you couldn’t give me any odds to back Colorado this evening.
