Best Super Bowl LVI Longshot Bets

The Super Bowl is here, and now is the time to unload the chamber on your final bets of the 2021-22 NFL season. I’ve got four longshot bets I like for this year’s big game.

Los Angeles Rams defense first touchdown scorer (+2800)
Aaron Donald, Von Miller, and Leonard Floyd have combined to give the Rams one of the league’s most lethal pass rushes. They are a huge mismatch against the Bengals’ weak offensive line which will lead to lots of pressure on Joe Burrow. I like the prospects of that pressure forcing an early strip sack or errant throw leading to a pick-six. +2800 makes this a nice longshot bet to open up this year’s Super Bowl.

Cincinnati Bengals defense first touchdown scorer (+3000)
While we’re betting on defenses to score the first touchdown, why don’t we put some money on the Bengals as well? Cincinnati’s defense has been a turnover machine as they’ve generated seven turnovers in just three games this postseason. Matthew Stafford has been turnover-prone all season as he led the league in interceptions. The Bengals intercepted Ryan Tannehill on the first play of the Divisional Round and I could see a similarly shaky start for Stafford on Sunday.

Bengals Parlay: Cincinnati to win, Joe Burrow 3+ passing touchdowns, Tee Higgins 6+ receptions, 82+ receiving yards, and 2+ touchdowns (+3900)
My Bengals longshot parlay puts its’ hopes on Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins to have a good day. While Ja’Marr Chase has stolen the show in Cincinnati, Higgins is a fantastic receiver and has had some blowup games over the course of this season. The Rams are favored by 4.5, so we can project the game script to promote passing for the Bengals. If Los Angeles devotes too much attention towards Chase, Higgins could have a big day and lead Cincinnati to its first Super Bowl title. Shop around for the best numbers on this parlay and I’ll bet you can find even better odds than the +3900 I list here.

Rams Parlay: Los Angeles -4.5, Matthew Stafford 3+ passing touchdowns, 304+ passing yards, Van Jefferson 74+ receiving yards, and 1+ touchdowns (+3500)
Another correlated parlay here, but this time we’re betting on the Rams. Van Jefferson’s targets have dwindled recently, but he’s still playing a lot and is an important deep threat for the Rams. Jefferson had one of the highest average depth of targets in the league this year, ranking seventh in yards per reception. Stafford’s first touchdown as a Ram was a 67-yard score to Jefferson, and the duo has been hooking up for deep scores all season. If Jefferson can haul in just one more of those, he’s going to hit the over on the yards and touchdowns on this prop while giving Stafford a big boost towards reaching his. Again, shop around and manipulate any of these numbers if you can find better odds.
